– Assessing beach erosion damage.– Compiling damage information from various sources related to

potential hazardous materials incidents.– 8 Federal and 3 State response personnel deployed to Western

Panhandle area for response & assessments.– Continuing to assess the conditions of solid waste facilities.– DEP personnel staffing ESF10 desks at Escambia and Santa Rosa

Counties.– DEP has opened a Citizen's Information Hotline (850) 595-4572 or

Power– Ivan:

• There are no Estimated Times of Restoration from the cooperatives. Their total outage is only 2,800 customers out of the total outage of 100,800.

• Gulf Power has the balance of the outages, 97,986 customers.

• GPC Estimated Times of Recovery are as follows: GPC has re-energized 100% of its substations. All transmission lines have been restored with the exception of 2 segments that should be restored by midnight tonight.

• GPC has completed restoration efforts in Niceville, Valparaiso and parts of Destin. This does not include Holiday Isle.

• The hardest hit counties by current outage percentages are Escambia 49% and Santa Rosa 44%.

ESF 12 – Energy• Current Operations (continued) –

Power– Ivan

• The estimated time of restoration by GPC is: 95% back in service for Escambia and Santa Rosa by midnight on October 6.

• The restoration in Okaloosa and Walton counties is essentially complete.

• 5,720 personnel, are working storm restoration. • Efforts are being made to give priority to restoring service to

schools that are in a position to accept service in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties

• Current Operations (continued) –Fuel– Three major ports are open, receiving ships and filling tankers.– Fuel supply to the Panhandle by truck from ports and tank farms

in FL, GA. & St. Marks. Truck supply from Mobile is on hold until they come back on line.

– Currently surveying fuel availability along evacuation routes in preparation for Hurrican Jeanne.

– Natural Gas:• Minor leaks have been reported. All of them have been

repaired.• Unmet Needs –

– Continue restoration of power as weather permits– Continue to work with suppliers and vendors to get an adequate

fuel supply to the needed locations.

– Maintaining contact with all County ESF17 Coordinators in impact area.

– Over 200 site assessments have been conducted in Santa Rosa, Escambia, Bay, Washington, Walton, Gulf, Okaloosa, Gadsden, Bay, Holmes, Jackson and Calhoun counties.
