Thank you for your generous support of this year’s mission project! Musical Performance Signup The grades 1-8 music, Joust, will be performed May 13 (9:00 AM and 7:00 PM) and May 14 (9:00 AM and 3:30 PM). There will be limited capacity at each performance. Please use the link for the performance sign up form. Live streaming will be available for the 7:00 PM performance on May 13. Check the form for more details about the performances. Math 6 (Course 1): Chapter 21: Test on Tuesday

Math 5 (Jaeger): ch. 18: Geometric Figures

Journals: Two Entries, each 10 sentences due Wednesday

Writing: Students will finish their edits and begin their published copy. Students may hand write or type their stories and then glue the text into the book.

Literature: We completed The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. There will be a vocabulary quiz on Tuesday (students already have the list of words) and a Socratic seminar on Thursday.

Spelling: We are back on schedule. Week 34, Lesson 32.

Science: Continue with ecosystems.

Bible History: Ahab and Jezebel; Elijah and Elisha

Catechism: Holy Communion

Congratulations to our confirmands! It was a joy to hear you share your essays on why your Christian faith is so important to you. 8th grade families should look for a special letter this week with information about graduation and the picture slideshow that I’ll be putting together. There is a reception planned for Saturday, May 29 (see emails from Emily Zabel) and a recognition of our graduates during the 10:30 AM service on Sunday, May 30.

Spelling: Lesson 35 English: DGP #30 Literature: Across Five Aprils; Final book project/report is due May 21. Students should be concluding their selected novel and entering the project/report phase.

Math: Course 2 Chapter 10 test moved to Monday; Chapter 11: Probability. Course 3 is graphing linear equations. Algebra 1 is working with data analysis and probability as our final topic of the school year.

Word of God: Christs’ Peace Breaks Down Barriers Between People

Catechism: Pastor Guse will be leading a study of church history in the final weeks of the school year.

Science: Light exploration activities, using mirrors and lenses, and lasers. There will be a review day then a test toward the end of this week or early next.
