Impacts of Global WarmingBenefits Problems
Energy consumption may go down as temperatures
increase in densely populated parts of the world such as
north-west Europe.
This will benefit the world as less CO₂,
Some species, whose habitat changes, may become extinct –
there is considerable concern about polar bears in the Arctic.
This would be loss for tourist attractions as well as food if animals
come extinct.
Frozen regions of the world such as Siberia and northern
Canada may be able to grow crops in a milder climate.
This will be useful as they will be other countries that can
provide to food consumption. As food consumption will be
going up.
Higher sea levels may flood low-lying areas such as Bangladesh
and the Netherlands, threatening the lives of millions.
This would be bad as many lives would be lost as well as other
countries becoming over populated because the people whose
country was flooded would have to migrate.
Increased crop yields in Australia
More crops will be produced making the economy better.
Alpine Ski resorts will be forced to close due to lack of snow
People will lose jobs and less tourism
