The first question every child is asked when they return to school in the fall is, “What did you do this summer?” Will your child say they sat home bored or excitedly share the life changing experiences they had at camp? Exploration, discovery, encouragement and challenge. At Connecticut’s four 4-H camps, children have the opportunity to put all these words into action whether exploring the world around or the world within. Through our educational/recreational programs camp-ers learn to grow socially, intellectually and emotionally. By living cooperatively in a nat-ural environment, campers focus on develop-ing life skills with an emphasis on experiential learning (learning by doing).

Licensed by the CT Department of Public Health with licensed medical personnel on site at all times.

Red Cross certified waterfront personnel. Three well balanced meals and snacks

prepared by certified cooks. Certified archery, boating, horse safety

and challenge course instructors. Small camper to counselor ratios. All staff complete intensive pre -camp

training program.
