Aloha to All, We had an outstanding first year of operation in 2015. It was great to welcome and meet so many of our owners over the past year. For many of you it was a welcome back greeting. It is always fun to see a familiar face back to enjoy more time at your home on Maui. This past year has allowed for the resort to mature and evolve into the upscale Hawaiian destination we all envision it to be. Our associates continue to be the one of our greatest assets. Many of you have taken the time to provide great feedback regarding the service and aloha that the team has provided. It is great to share that info with the associates; it is such a positive motivator. Many from our opening team are still with us today. Some have moved on to other opportunities elsewhere and others have been promoted to new positions within the resort. This year you may see that same smiling face in a different location. The Hyatt Residence Club culture prides itself on promotion from within, and seeing qualified individuals being able to take steps to further their careers with us is a great joy. Your customer feedback, comments, letters and social media postings have been great. We have been able to use many of your suggestions and comments to modify and streamline our operations. Change is good and we will to continue to make positive changes to further enhance the resort experience as we move forward. Some upcoming changes already in the works for 2016 include the installation of boilers to improve the pool heating. We are enhancing the F&B service bar and taking steps to modify the front entrance area to assist in better managing those rare days when we see inclement weather. We look forward to seeing all of you at some point over the year and hope that your travels bring happiness to you and your family. Aloha to All,

We had an outstanding first year

of operation in 2015. It was great

to welcome and meet so many of

our owners over the past year. For

many of you it was a welcome back

greeting. It is always fun to see a familiar face back to

enjoy more time at your home on Maui. This past year

has allowed for the resort to mature and evolve into the

upscale Hawaiian destination we all envision it to be.

Our associates continue to be the one of our greatest

assets. Many of you have taken the time to provide

great feedback regarding the service and aloha that the

team has provided. It is great to share that info with the

associates; it is such a positive motivator. Many from our

opening team are still with us today. Some have moved

on to other opportunities elsewhere and others have

been promoted to new positions within the resort. This

year you may see that same smiling face in a different

location. The Hyatt Residence Club culture prides

itself on promotion from within, and seeing qualified

individuals being able to take steps to further their

careers with us is a great joy.

Your customer feedback, comments, letters and social

media postings have been great. We have been able to

use many of your suggestions and comments to modify

and streamline our operations. Change is good and we

will to continue to make positive changes to further

enhance the resort experience as we move forward.

Some upcoming changes already in the works for 2016

include the installation of boilers to improve the pool

heating. We are enhancing the F&B service bar and

taking steps to modify the front entrance area to assist in

better managing those rare days when we see inclement

weather. We look forward to seeing all of you at some

point over the year and hope that your travels bring

happiness to you and your family.

A Hui Ho (until we meet again),

The Resort Engineering/Water Features Department

is a small group of nine skilled men tasked with the

huge responsibility of maintaining all of the physical

and mechanical components of the 131 resort units,

pools and food and beverage equipment. Each valued

associate has been selected to work here because of

their high level of skill and knowledge, their passion for

hospitality and their ability to provide aloha.

Water Features Team Our water features team is in charge of maintaining the

pools and ponds on the resort grounds, which include

five pools, two hot tubs and ponds. We are talking about

over 228,000 gallons of water that this team maintains

on a daily basis; working to keep it all clean and properly

balanced is a full-time job! The team receives frequent

recognition from guests and owners at the pool deck and

many positive mentions on our customer surveys. These

gentlemen take great pride in maintaining a clean and

safe environment for all.

Engineering Team Our Engineering Team has worked hard to learn and

maintain the systems ever since we opened the building.

They were instrumental in assisting the re-commissioning

of all the guest room appliances and major equipment

throughout the property.

Our small resort has more than a dozen pool pumps, a

chlorine generator, two 140-ton chillers, as well as solar

panels, generators and many other mechanical systems

that need to be maintained and monitored.

Add to that all the appliances and equipment in each

unit, and you can imagine the enormity of the tasks that

they handle!

The team now continues to perform preventative

maintenance on the major equipment in order to

maintain our LEED certification. These men also work to

master their authentic hospitality skills with each guest

and owner to ensure all have what is needed during these

important vacation days.

We have received many positive mentions on our

customer surveys and online reviews about their work

and we appreciate the feedback.

Mr. & Ms. SmithHyatt Residence Club, Ka’anapali Beach Maui recently

had the honor of welcoming Michael and Reylen Smith

home for their first stay since becoming Hyatt Residence

Club Maui owners. The Smith family was gracious enough

to allow us to turn the spotlight on them as our second

family to be highlighted in our Destinations Newsletter.

Michael and Reylen have been coming to Maui for the

past six years, where they have stayed at Hyatt Ka’anapali

Beach. They loved it so much they decided to become

owners of Hyatt Residence Club, Ka’anapali Beach.

Michael shared, “When we started coming to Maui, it was

so laid back and very relaxing, making us fall in love with

the island.

“My wife is a nurse and she needed rest and relaxation

when and where we decided to vacation. When in Maui,

anywhere you look you see beauty. The freedom you

feel in Maui is nice, making this the perfect place for us

to relax while on vacation. That is why we keep coming

back, year after year — it never gets old.”

Reylen shared, “My husband and I have been coming

back to Maui for years, and we love it so much. We

became owners in 2014, when it was still under

construction. We love everything about the property,

including the well-appointed rooms, beautiful kitchens,

larger lanais, amazing views, the list goes on—the

Lahaina Provision Company marketplace is an excellent

addition, as well convenient if you don’t want to go off

property for eats, drinks, etc. The service cannot be

beat, from valet parking to the housekeeping and any

other service that we asked for; it was provided to us

with a quick response. The staff was so attentive to us,

the sharing of ‘Aloha’ was never left out when interacting

with us as owners and guests each and every chance they

had. We have no regrets for becoming an owner at Hyatt

Ka’anapali Beach.

“We are certain in the near future this property will be

the BEST at Ka’anapali Beach. We are very happy to be

part of this beautiful property, part of the Ohana.

“The location, the view and, of course, the infinity pool

truly make it the perfect holiday spot for us. My husband

and I love Ka’anapali Beach so much that deciding to be

part of this amazing place, to not only visit but also feel as

if we are welcomed home each and every time, is one of

the best things that we ever could have done.

“Right now this is our personal getaway; we are really

enjoying it and we are already excited to return back next

year. Anywhere you look there is beauty. It is the most

beautiful property in Ka’anapali. They did a great job

landscaping the grounds around the pool. Love it! Love

it! Love it! Too bad we have to wait another year to visit.

This is the only sad part for us. We love spending our

days by the pool enjoying the amazing service. As owners

we have our own lounge chairs set up for us daily with

VIP owner towels, waiting, ready to enjoy. Can’t get that

level of pool service anywhere else, I’m sure. It is those

little things, special attention to detail, that certainly

makes our vacation home at Hyatt Ka’anapali Beach the

best. Things we appreciate the most, as an owner, are

provided to you, at the same time, being recognized as

an owner throughout the stay really makes it feel like

‘home away from home.’

“Thank you to all the staff who made our stay

memorable.”

Fishing with Roger! One of our most popular activities is fishing in the Aloha

Creek! With Roger’s fishing experience, you are sure

to catch yourself some lunch (Just kidding! We catch

and release.). Siblings Cameron and Emma had a blast

catching the largest fish of the day. Great teamwork and

congratulations!

Hula LessonsIf you have never taken hula before, haven’t danced in a

while or would like to experience our style of hula, this

is the best place to start. In-depth instruction is given

on the first set of hula steps along with a few basic hand

motions with our Recreation team daily.
