    Students with Disabilities

    ● Process for expanding onsite services

    ● Services models:

    ○ Primary students: Consistent with student IEPs

    ○ Hybrid A/B students: Maximize onsite services

    ○ Online students: Remote learning plan

  • 30

    Substitute Teaching Staff

    ● In process of hiring permanent substitute teachers in

    each school building

    ● Hiring permanent Intervention Specialist substitutes at

    each level

    ● Creating structures to support daily substitute

    teachers, if needed

  • TechnologyMr. John Rizzo, Executive Director

    Technology and Media Service

  • TechnologyIT Goal

    ● Provide classroom technology that supports simultaneous

onsite and online learning via live stream

    ● Leverage as much existing technology as possible

    ● Keep it simple (as possible)

    Steps Taken

    ● Conversation with districts already implementing hybrid

    learning via live streaming

    ● Simulation and testing of classroom configurations

    ● Presentation and discussion with building and District

    leadership

  • ComputerMeeting Platform Camera

    Audio into classroom

    Audio to virtual students

    Wired classroom desktop

    computer

    Zoom1 or Google Meet

    Hovercam document camera or webcam

    Existing classroom speakers

    Hovercam / Webcam

    microphone or teacher

    microphone2

    1. Zoom provides more meeting controls and better bandwidth utilization

    2. Built-in Hovercam/webcam mics work but do not provide the best audio for students at home. IT will be testing portable microphone options that would be worn/held by the teacher and provide clearer audio to remote students.

    Live Streaming Details

  • Bandwidth / Throughput

In order to increase the probability of successful District-wide, simultaneous live

streaming of classroom instruction the following controls will be need to be

    implemented.

Network bandwidth utilization and performance will be monitored and controls

    adjusted as needed:

    ● Wired computer connections must be used for live streaming

    ● Guest Wi-Fi access will be turned off

    ● Likely restriction on streaming services

    ● When possible, encourage online students to watch instructional videos at

home via a posted link versus showing the video to all students via Zoom or

    Google Meet shared screen.
