Why Hyderabad?The third IGF meeting is to be held in Hyderabad, India from 3-6 December 2008.

As WITSA has many common attendees with IGF, we would suggest the WITSA Fall 2008 meeting to be held in Hyderabad, India.

• Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, is the fifth largest cosmopolitan city in India. • This is where tradition fuses with modernity, and heritage structures vie with modern high-rise

buildings to add to the beauty of the city.• It is renowned as the convention capital of India• It is home to some of the largest IT companies of India – like Satyam and Enterprise Infotech and

has the presence of Wipro and Infosys etc. Hyderabad also has some of largest R&D centers of Microsoft, Google etc.

• Ramoji Film City, the largest film studio in the world is located on the outskirts of the hi-tech city.

Venue of IGF and WITSA meetingThe venue of IGF is the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC)

WITSA meeting can be co-located with IGF, HICC has ample meeting rooms, which can fulfill the requirements IGF as well as that for WITSA meetings.

WITSA requirements: 1. Meeting room for 2 days to seat 50 people in a Boardroom style2. 3 Smaller breakout rooms (approx. 12-15 seater) for 2 daysCost of this would be borne by NASSCOM

Hyderabad - a travelers' paradise

Having a rich history, Hyderabad owns some of the fine examples of Qutab Shahi architecture - the Jami Masjid, the Mecca Masjid, Toli Masjid

Charminar. the immortal symbol of Hyderabad

Golconda Fort is a majestic monument, which lies on thewestern outskirts of the city. It speaks of a great cultural heritage of 400 years and is considered as a place that is worth visiting

The Salar Jung museum is one of the oldest museums in the city and is the only museum that has the largest compilation of personally collected artifacts from all around the world. This museum has the greatest collection of rare antiques and knick-knacks from all over the world.

The Paigah tombs highlight the intricate artistic qualities of the artisans of that time. It is amazing the kind of work done on the marble, so delicately and so finely, it is hard to say whether it is marble unless you touch it for yourself.

Hyderabad is famous for its hot and spicy cuisine,

along with its rich cultural heritage. The cuisine of Andhra Pradesh includes both the original Andhra cuisine and the Hyderabadi cuisine, having a Mughlai influence. The traditional delicacies absolutely mouthwatering having a liberal use of spices.

The city of Hyderabad is also famous for its Silver ornaments. If ornaments are not your preference then settle on the key chains, small boxes, trays that are not only handy but are also beautifully decorated with designs in silver to add to the zing.
