and to present hydrological data.• to issue daily rivers and lakes waterlevels
and discharges information;• to publish weekly, monthly and yearly
hydrological data;• to inform and alarm in case of appearance
on droughts and floods.

II Part of the Project RIMSYS - Modernization of 18 Hydrological Stations
Achievements:-real time hydrological data;-basis of modern monitoring;-operation and maintenance;-trained staff.
Happiness:- new hydrological
yearbook and accurate real time hydrograph on our web site(www.meteo.gov.mk)
BIGGEST SUCCESS IN LAST 5 YEARS
INTERNET MODULE for online presentation of hydrological data
www.meteo.gov.mk
We did not complete III part of the Project RIMSYS - Station Modernization and Water Forecast System
What we did not achieve:-new 3WL&10P modern stations;- new measuring equipment;- water forecast system;
Unhappiness:-inability to employ new hydrologists and to modernize measurement!
BIGGEST FAILURE IN LAST 5 YEARS
HYDROMETRY• Current meter
Wading Discharge Measurements
Discharge Measurement with the Boat
Hydrologists in HMS
No new employments!
• Decreasing number of hydrologists in HMS:– 1997 – 25 – 2012 – 14– 2014 – 12– 2016 - 10

HUMAN RESOURCES
4
• At the national level:– New employments for hydrologists;– New equipments for hydrometry and
monitoring.• At international level:
– Establish on international legal frame for hydrological monitoring and hydrometry obligated for every state in the Europe and wider;
– Organizing regional training(workshops) for hydrological staff;
– Support for modernization of equipments for hydrometry and monitoring;
– Organizing GLOBAL HYDROLOGICAL NETWORK.
EXPECTATIONS
• How to get Global Hydrological Network???• GOOGLE EARTH & Hydrologists (WMO)
Partnership!– FREE ACCES TO ONLINE MONITORING DATA
SUGGESTION
• Work on strengthening the capacities of the National Hydrological Services;
• Improving and standardizing hydrometry and monitoring;
• Improwing Hydrological Information– GOOGLE Earth HYDRO-Net.
CONCLUSION AND RECOMENDATION
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION!
