We hope to build on this success in 2007. Staying with awards, we were only just pipped to the post having reached the finals of the Food Processing magazine awards. Maybe this year… On the client side, there’s been plenty of action at Cadbury Trebor Bassett (CTB). The work we do at Bournville will cease to be managed by facilities company ADI, and instead return to the direct management of CTB – a significant step forward. There has been enormous interest in our web-based data room, with Masterfoods, United Biscuits and CTB already adopting the facility. We expect this interest to grow within the industry. Hygiene Stores UK has completed its centralisation, in Kings Norton, and continues to expand and win new business. He will continue to give us and our clients support on a variety of technical issues, including microbiology, chemical application and IT solutions. Looking at the market sector, there’s been further consolidation by some of our competitors, which will continue to put pressure on our already hard pressed margins, but should help to assert our position as the leading specialist in our field. This year presents an opportunity for us to continue to expand the work we do in the logistics industry, develop the Reach and Wash operation, and capitalise on the work we already do for Morrisons and other retail clients. Everyone has contributed to make a difficult 2006 a successful year, and we are now perfectly positioned to take advantage of this in 2007.” Sian Thomas with the SOFHT award Award-winning 2006 is platform of opportunity Stephen Bailey Managing Director STOP PRESS Hygiene has beaten stiff competition to secure the United Biscuits tender. AnnouncementsCongratulations to Paul Watson

and Paul Lodge who have each

become proud parents.

Well done to Dave Maxwell who

passed the British Pest Control

Association (BPCA) audit on

our systems.

Congratulations to Anthony Ryan,

on taking the position of contract

manager at the Co-op Retail

Logistics, West Thurrock. He is

responsible for 24hr, 7 days a

week operation on this contract.

Jason Naqvi joins Hygiene as

contract manager at Fairfax

Meadows in Derby.

These are a few of my favourite things: Scott Fowler shares with us a few

of his favourite things!

Book – The Damage Done by

Warren Fellows

Film – Heat, starring my all time

favourite actor Al Pacino

Food & Drink – It’s got to be

Spaghetti Bolognese and cold

pints of lager

Car – Dodge Viper

Sport – Football. I support

Leicester City and play for my local

club Halcyon in Peterborough.

Holiday/Destination – Barcelona.

I’ve been there five or six times and

love it. I even took my wife there

for our honeymoon!

Music – Huge fan of Coldplay,

although I have yet to see them

play live.

Comedian – Billy Connolly always

makes me laugh.

Scott Fowler Account Manager for

the Midlands area has been with

Hygiene Group for 13 years.

The sight of window cleaners up

ladders brandishing bucket and

squeegee could soon be a thing of

the past thanks to The Reach &

Wash System. The Reach & Wash

team believes this ladder-less

method is the answer to the risks

associated with traditional

window cleaning.

Reach & Wash manager Trevor

Horne said: “Reach & Wash

pushes dirt away aggressively

using almost 100% pure water,

leaving glass, window frames,

cladding and signs clean without

the need for chemicals and

detergents.

“And it signals the beginning of

the end for old-school window

cleaners who rely on dangerous

ladders and expensive hydraulic

platforms.”

We wish the team all the success

in the future.
