La Misa Histórico Fiesta : Historic Tridentine Fiesta Mass in Latin celebrated by Franciscan priests. Old Mission Church, 10:00 am.
FRIDAY MIDDAY: Las Ceremonias de Apertura
Venue/time: Mission Plaza, noon.
Ringing of the Old Mission Bells.
Opening remarks from dignitaries via Old Mission Steps.
Presentation of El Presidente and La Señora, El Presidente Jr. and La Señorita.
Brown bag concert: Mariachis in the Mission Plaza (concert in the plaza format.)
Folkloric dancers
Continuous tours of Old Mission Museum and SLO County History Center.
FRIDAY EVENING :
Opening of “Midway/Carnival” Palm, Broad and Monterey Streets surrounding the Old Mission.
Midnight movies at the Fremont: La Fiesta de Santa Barbara and The Treasure of Sierra Madre.
