Hyundai Motor Group is expand- ing its product line-up to include 44 electrified vehicles, and Hyundai Motor Company alone plans to invest almost 50 billion Euros for research and development into future technolo- gies by 2025. The expectation is to sell more than 670,000 battery and fuel cell electric vehicles annually by this time and to be positioned among the top three EV providers globally. CBK sets up fundto fight COVID 19KUWAIT CITY, March 8: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) announced, Sunday, March 8, the establishment of a KD 10 million fund that would sup-port the State of Kuwait’s efforts to combat the spread of the novel Coro-navirus, funded by Kuwaiti banks for that purpose. This comes as part of its national and social contributions amid the increasing spread of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) globally.

The founding of the fund was an-nounced in a press release by CBK Governor Dr Mohammad Y. Al-Hashel, who remarked that this con-tribution comes to fulfi ll the banking sector’s social and national responsi-bility. He added this comes in addition to previous CBK-led efforts and meas-ures on the part of all regulated entities to ensure no effort is spared where pro-tection and prevention is concerned.

The governor pointed out the fund is at the Cabinet’s disposal, which shall direct how the funds are dispensed to fi nance urgent and necessary require-ments of the different government agencies measures in this regard.

In conclusion, the governor lauded Kuwaiti banks for their swift response to the CBK request and their contribu-tions to the fund, and also praised their total compliance with CBK instruc-tions and recommendations serving to protect banks’ customers and staff against the spread of the virus.

KFH designed this service to facilitate the needs of custom-ers and their lifestyle. By applying for a personal fi nance, customers can choose a month in a year to postpone a payment.

Through KFH-Pass service, custom-er can schedule one monthly install-ment after completing the transaction via KFH Online or the mobile app.

This service gives customers more fl exibility in changing the month they wish to postpone their installments during the fi nancing period according to their personal needs.

The goal of KFH-Pass service is to

provide more fl exibility to customers to relieve them from the burden of their other monthly expenses, such as school payments, summer travel season, etc.

The service also helps customers to meet their other emergency fi nancial ob-ligations when needed, easily postponing

the date of installments due without the need to visit the bank branches.

Customers can select the expected postponement months when apply-ing for funding. In doing so, the total funding period should not exceed the maximum repayment periods set by the regulators, 60 months for the con-sumer fi nancing or 180 months for the housing fi nancing.

Customers are entitled to choose the deferred month each year with a maxi-mum of 5 months for consumer fi nanc-ing and 15 months for housing fi nancing.
