Managing Traffic

The project team is committed to keeping

traffic moving during peak travel times

throughout the life of the project.

Keeping existing traffic lanes open during the

daytime

Weekday I-4 lane closures limited to mostly

nighttime hours occurring as early as 8:30pm

and as late as 7am.

Contract allows for additional closure requests by SGL Constructors. FDOT will evaluateand approve those requests on case by case basis.

Work may require ramp closures for extended periods of time.

Construction activities may require weekend work.

Required Safety Equipment

Be aware, you will be asked to leave the work zone if youfail to wear the required safety gear. OSHA fines for non-compliance are up to $15,000 per incident.

When planning to cover the project, media crews mustcontact the I-4 Ultimate public information office prior toheading to the work zone. The public information officewill recommend safe areas for media crews to reportfrom, and assign someone to escort them to thatlocation.

Construction manager will ask you to leave the workzone if you have failed to contact the public informationoffice.
