DAY 1- LESSON PRESENTATION Present lesson. Print, color and cutout activity page included in lesson. Conclude each activity with your testimony. PHRASE/WORD RECOGNITION (REPEAT DAILY) You may want to make a “repeat parrot puppet” or visual cue to use when you need children to repeat phrases. Younger and Older Children: “I am a child of God.” DAY 2 - ART ACTIVITY Framing Fun! This art activity involves gluing a picture of your child or the picture of a child, which was included in the lesson as a coloring activity, to an aluminum foil background for display. Aluminum foil when manipulated is remarkably squeezable and makes delightfully tinny sound effects. For the frame, tear off a piece of foil quite a bit larger than the object to be framed. Let your child explore the foil by squeezing, folding, rolling and pressing it. You probably will end up with a wad of foil. Uncrinkle the wad of foil into a flat shape. Let your child stomp on the shape to flatten the impressions into the foil. Glue the photo or picture from the lesson to the foil to display. You may also choose have your child tear the foil into shapes to glue to cardstock as a background for the picture. DAY 3 – SCRIPTURE MARKING Highlight the words God spoke to Moses, “Behold, thou art my son.”, Moses 1:4 and “I have a work for thee.”, Moses 1:6. OR Circle pictures in Old Testament Stories, “Chapter 19: The Ten Commandments”, 75. DAY 4 - FINGER PLAY Ten Commandments (A finger play) This is the mountain where Moses went. (put fingertips together to form a peak) This is the tablet Heavenly Father sent. (put hands together, palms open) This is Christ’s finger that wrote the words. (have pointer finger “write” on open palm) This is the voice that Moses heard. (cup hands around mouth) This is the cloud on the mountain tall. (clasp hands above head) These are the commandments—count ten in all. (wiggle all ten fingers) One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten!
