My favorite A Disciplined Life principle is Think

critically and be inquisitive. Through ADisciplined Lifethe signature social-emotional

learning curriculum at Perspectives, I urge my

students to descriptively analyze their world and

surroundings. By asking questions of me and others,

they are able to articulate their thoughts through

compelling writing and spoken word. In addition, they

are able to form persuasive and powerful arguments.

As I study the principle of think critically and be

inquisitive, I am reminded to keep asking questions

and improve my own education.

At Perspectives We Are Transformative Educators.

Transformative education moves young adults from

seeing education as an acquisition of facts and

knowledge to being able to solve problems inside and

outside the classroom.

We are seeking transformative teachers who believe

that all of our students can go to college, and who

know that an education that addresses the whole

child will help them succeed once they get there. We

are a growing network, and we aggressively promote

from within; our great teachers become instructional

leaders, and 100% of our principals were once

Perspectives teachers.
