6. Gmrier/Auencv Relationship. .

I understand and agree that if for any reason the agencyagreement between my cmpany and any of my ~S agents is terminated, or myagent or agent’s facilities are no longer acceptable to the personal propertyshipping off icer (PPSO) for any valid reason, I will have 30 days frm the dateof notification of termination, or notification of agent deficiency, withinwhich to obtain another agent or require the agent to take appropriatecorrective act ion or my letter of intent on file with the PPSO will be returned.

b. I further understand and agree that I will take all actionnecessary to protect and expedite to ultimate delivery any shipnents of personalproperty that my be on hand or in the custody of my agent. I understand that myletter of intent will not be returned if my agent’s facilities are renderedunacceptable due to act of God, act of public enemy, act of public authority,violent strikes and mb interference, extreme weather conditions, unavoidableaccidents, and similar incidents.

c. I agree that an individual rate tender will not be filedapplicable to an installation when I do not have a LQI on file at thatinstallation.

*7. Q Insumnm. I shall provide a certification of cargoinsurance reflect ing coverage on a continuous kasis in at least the amuntsshown below to cover my legal liability. The certificate will contain thestatement that the insurance company shall provide the HQ41MC, ATIN: MIOP-QQ, a30-day written notice of any change, qiration, or cancellation of saidpolicy. The underwriter of cargo insurance rust have a policyholder’s rating of“A” or &tter in currmt issue of Best’s Insurance Guide. b. I agree, in the event I find it necessary to enter into aninterline axmngement due to the limits of rny scope of qxrating authority, touse only those carriers a~roved by MIMC.

c. I agree to apprise the participating carriers of theirresponsibility to fulfill the requirements of this Tender of Service.

17. We of an Alternate Guxia. When I accept a ship?rent and findbecause of unavoidable circumstances I am unable to physically transport theshipnent, I my, upon a~roval of the origin PPSO, arm.nge with another~D-a~mved carrier to perfom the required services. In such case, I willinform the PPSO of the name of the carrier to whan the shipnent has kmtransferred. I will continue to be shmn on the Personal Property GovemmrkBill of Lading (P-L) as the initial carrier and will accept throughresponsibility f mm tim of pickup at origin to delivery at destination.

18. Remrt of SlhimEntsofl Hand. I agree to have my origin agentprovide the origin PPSO, on Mm3ay of each week (on following day if Mm&y is aholiday) , a report of all my shipnents (except shipnents in Storage in Transit)on hand vhich were picked up before the previous Wdnesday. The report willreflect the date, the nmber’s name, the P- nuxdxrs, pickup date, carriercode, and RDD. Negative reports are not required.

The net weight for all codes of service willconsist of actual gcods, including professional books, papers, and equipment,plus wcden crates, (whm approved by the origin PFSO), cartons, barrels, f i-b=drums, and wardrobes used to pack linms, kooks, bedding, mttresses,larqxhades, draperies, glassware, chinaware, brie-a-bmc, table laq? bses,kitchenware, and other fragile articles and the necessary wrapping, packing, andfiller material incident thereto.

(2) Uilacccnlmnl‘d Baqqaqe. I will invoice for the grossweight of the shipment described on the PXBL.

b. In determking net weight for containerized shipments (Codes 2,4, 5, 6, and T) , the dif femnce between the tare weight of the enpty containerand the gross weight of the packed conttier will be the net weight billed.

TIE weight of each shipment will be determined in the mannerprescribed byc&e Interstate Ccmerce Ccmnission (ICC) . (Exception: Forintrastate mvements, when the State or district regulation is in conflict withthe ICC provisions, the State or district regulations will apply. )

d. If authorized by the PPSO, I may use ~t scales todetermine the gross, tare, and net weight of shipmnts not originating onGoverment installations. When requested by PPSOs, Govemmnt scales will beused to weigh or reweigh shipmxks originat @ or teminating at Govermmtinstallations * such scales are available.

*28 . Loss or llanme. I will exercise care to prevent loss or damge ofpersonal property in the pmess of packing and will properly and amply protecttirsoti pro-y in my possession.

a. Claims for Loss or Danwe. I agree to acknowledge“Letter of Ihmnd on Carrier” filed against me within 10 days after

receipt ofits receipt
