THE AMERICAN ARTISTS FUND of The American Artists Profession-al League, Inc., has recently been granted tax exempt status by the UnitedStates Treasury Department. As a result, gifts to THE AMERICAN ARTISTSFUND are deductible by the donors for in!ome tax purposes as charitable.and educational contributions and, similarly} bequests are deductible forEstate Tax purposes.

Such gifts and bequests, unless otherwise restricted, will be used forthe primary purposes for which theAMERICAN ARTISTS FUND was ere-;ted: to promote understanding and appreciation of classical American Artthroulgh media such as the annual observance of American Art Week; tocreate and maintain scholarships for study in American Art; to establishcompetitions and ex.hibitions inAmerican Art and [o give prizes and awardstherefor.
