FIRST COMMUNION workshop Sunday, 4/7 at 1:00pm at the Center for parent and child. FIRST COMMUNION OFFERTORY GIFTS: Our tradition has been to include our children who are preparing to receive Eucharist to participate in the
Offertory. It’s a wonderful way to say to our
children and their families, that yes, we are a faith community, we belong to each other, we are the family of St. Francis. The first pew on the right side will be designated for them with a reserve sign. Please enjoy and delight in our First Communion children this weekend as they assist us in our celebration of worship: 4:30 Confirmation Mass – Conf. 5th Sunday of Lent
“Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
- John 8:10 Today’s readings are filled, not only with examples of
God’s abundant mercy and love, but of right living. Paul reminds us that everything outside of the pursuit of
Christ is rubbish. And if we are to call ourselves followers of Christ, we must keep our focus on what lies
ahead. Let us begin by letting go of our judgments and our earthly desires so we may enter into this time with
our minds and hearts lifted completely to God. PENITENTIAL ACT
Lord Jesus, when we sin, you love us back into relationship: Lord, have mercy. Christ Jesus, when we judge others, you show us our own transgressions: Christ, have mercy. Lord, Jesus, when we cry out from the depths of our souls, you hear and answer us: Lord, have mercy.
SCRIPTURE READINGS Is 43:16-21 Remember not the events of the past; I am doing something new! Ps 126 The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy Phil 3:8-14 Continue to pursue God’s upward calling Jn 8:1-11 Neither do I condemn you; go & sin no more
The Light is On for You (confession) Monday, April 15th 4:00PM – 7:00PM
No matter how long it's been since your last confession, God is waiting to welcome you back and
show you mercy!

Question of the Week For Adults: Have you ever been too willing to "cast the first stone" when you disapproved of someone's behavior? How can you resist these feelings?
For Children: When have you criticized or made fun of someone? What could help you act differently?
