Super DuperIf I were a super hero, I would be able

to fly, have amazingly fast reflexes and have super speed. I would be live in the English countryside in a small cottage, which would be connected to the Big Ben in which would be my secret lare or (whatever you call it). I would have secret underground tunnels from the house to Big Ben and to other important places in case of emergencies, like the local chocolate shop, bakery and Starbucks. I would have people think I’m a man, because it’s the men that tend to make great super heroes. So when I truly gained their trust and friendship I would reveal I’m a women.

Best recipe ever!

When I read the best recipe ever paragraph, a lot of

thing went through my head, borsht, kvass, varekiki,

blini, pelmeni etc. but what I thought would really

stand out is hvorost. Hvorost is an amazing f ried

pastry, served covered in powdered sugar, with tea. On

the outside their crisy and inside, well inside they’re

hollow. I ’m not going to pass the recipe out lef t, and

right. Because I think a taste is worth a 1000 words.

I like . . .I like pie. Pizza Pie. It’s yummy. With its crispy crust and its gooey in insides, the hot pie mixes nicely with a cold Pepsi or Cola. The stringy cheese slips down your throat like rain on glass. The crust; so crusty, the sauce so red, and spicy(depends on the pizza). The toppings can be so diverse. In Italy pizza doesn’t always have to be savory, it can be sweet too. Like instead of tomato/white sauce, smooth, creamy Nutella and for the toppings you have chocolate, candied fruit, nuts and plenty of other goodies the world has to offer.

Interview with Mom-Natalya LaninaLiza: Hi Mom!Mom: What do you want now, and it better be any ideas. No ideas. Liza: I want, I mean, I need to ask you few questions about your childhood.Mom: You probably already know all the answers.Liza: Anyways what was your favorite pass time as a child?Mom: Fishing.Liza: Ok anything else?Mom: Next questionLiza: Fine, what characteristics run in our family?Mom: Stubbornness and we’re all musical.Liza: Tell me something unique I did as a baby.Mom: When you were a baby and couldn’t walk, your father had a box of bolts he was always spilling. You would watch him fix the machines, when he’d spill you’d try to help him clean them up then he’d move you but you would just scoot forward and try again.Liza: LaughingA few moments later . . .

Liza: Tell me of something mischievous you did.Mom: When Julie was 3 Roman and I went craw fishing. That night we came home and Julie asks us what’s in the bag I tell her to closed her eyes put one of the crawfishes in her little palms. Now they were still alive, she screams, roman drops the bag and in seconds there were crawfish everywhere. Liza: Did you take any classes?Mom: Not that I can think of.Liza: Are you sure?Mom: No wait I took dance and piano but quit after the first day.Liza: Why?Mom: Some mean girlsLiza: The same ones?Mom: YeahLiza: Ok mom thanks for doing my homework!Mom: What?!?!Liza: I’m joking

Best Holiday Ever!Last Christmas (2011) all my relatives come over ½ the women are in the kitchen cooking while the younger half are in front of the mirror. Then my youngest aunt comes up to me complaining on how we don’t have a straitenr. I’ve wanting to learn to make soap so when I got it I was very happy my next present was from my aunt- a hair straitenr! Anyways what made it special was my mom got everyone floating lanterns. Now I have a big family so it was super special I plan to do it again!

Family Sayings In my family we have a very different

meaning of the phrase family saying. The younger kids tend to say things wrong in a really interesting way when there speaking Russian. I’ve had my share. But it’s fun listening to stupid mistakes and laughing at yourself. Now the grown ups have even more funny isadents due to very bad English in the first years here

I wish that when I get married my hubby won’t really care how I design the house, as long as he has his man-cave. I want to live in a house, with a lot of windows in the country. I hope to have a big kitchen with a farmhouse sink, golden brown hard wood floors, and a big fridge with black chalkboard paint, so I could write on it. Instead of a room for each child I want to have bunk beds in the wall so the others rooms can be used for other purposes, like a library. I always dreamed of a farm house with a library in the attic and a chimney in the living room. The last thing I find accentual in my future home is a craft room. I’m always having crazy ideas I must test, the room could be just a corner in the garage I don’t care!

I wish…

How do my genes, environment, and culture influence what kind of person I am?

I still hate writing, as does everybody else in my f amily. The older ladies (moms,

grandmother, and aunts) only write recipes and phone numbers. The men don’t write at
