CONDAIR HPIn-duct high-pressure spray humidifier
Humidification and Evaporative Cooling
CONDAIR HPIn-duct high-pressure spray humidifier
Water pump and RO treatment stationRemoves minerals from the supplywater and pressurises it directly to the nozzle grid.
Control panelThe user interface panel, controlled by a Siemens Programmable LogicController (PLC), has a a clear and easy to use touch screen.
Integrated RO systemAn optional reverse osmosis system toremove minerals from the supplywater, ensuring dust-free, hygienichumidification.
Energy-efficient RO pumpA high-quality Grundfos electric motor provides low powerconsumption and reliable operation.
Stainless steel high-pressure pumpA high-pressure, water lubricated, oil-free pump provides water at around 70bar.
Stage valve blockThe valve block provides up to 15stages of output for +/-4%RH control.
Low energy humidification and evaporative cooling
The Condair HP is a high-pressure, low energy, in-duct spray humidifierdelivering adiabatic humidification and cooling to air handling units (AHU) and ducts.
A single high-pressure pump station is capable of supplying spray nozzles in multiple AHUs with up to 1,300kg/hr of humidity.
As well as a large humidificationcapacity the system can provide up to
884kW of adiabatic cooling from just 2.2kW of consumed electricity.
A control accuracy of ±4%RH isachievable with up to 15 stages of outputacross the nozzle grid, making theCondair HP suitable for a wide range of applications.
Spray nozzle gridPrecision manufactured high-quality,stainless steel nozzles atomise waterinto a fine mist, evenly spread acrossthe duct to provide uniformhumidification.
Droplet separatorRemoves unevaporated water dropletsfrom the air stream.

Humidify up to four AHUs from one pump station with up to 1,300kg/h of moisture
The Condair HP can offer humiditycontrol to multiple AHUs or ducts, from a single high-pressure pumpstation, with local regulation to eachnozzle grid.
Flexible capacitiesThis master/slave configuration can beused in a wide range of applications
where up to 1,300kg/hr ofhumidification is required.
The master control unit is built into thepump station and consists of an easy tooperate Siemens PLC, which regulatesthe stage valves and adjusts outputs tothe required levels.
Separate controlWith multiple zones, each slave isequipped with a separate controller, although all the operating parameterscan be viewed or edited from themaster control.

Premium quality components
The Condair HP is manufactured inhigh-quality materials to provide longlasting and reliable operation.
Uniform distributionAn innovative nozzle manifold designensures that the spray is uniformacross the duct and is largely absorbedwithin a short distance up to 1.3m. Thewater evaporates quickly and efficientlyinto the air-stream and avoids the needfor long humidifier duct sections.
No compressed airPrecision manufactured stainless steel,high-pressure nozzles deliver anextremely fine spray of water droplets, without the need for compressed air.
Low maintenance pumpThe water-lubricated, high-pressurestainless steel pump requires no oil orbelt changes and is guaranteed for8,000 hours, ensuring years of trouble-free operation. It is mounted directlyonto a high quality, energy efficientGrundfos electric motor.
Running costs can be 65% cheaper than an electric steam humidifier
In-duct adiabatic humidifiers can significantly reduce theoperating cost of a building’s humidity control whencompared to traditional electric steam humidifiers.
As moisture is absorbed using heat from the air, rather thanby electrically heating water to create steam, the mainenergy source can be shifted from electricity to gas. Bywarming the air prior to the humidifier with gas-firedheating, the exact same amount of energy is consumed butas gas is much cheaper, the humidification system’s overalloperating cost is reduced.
If it is possible to recover waste heat from the building topre-heat the air stream prior to the humidifier, the energycost of Condair HP humidification is a tiny fraction incomparison to using electric steam humidifiers.
Adiabatic coolingThe Condair HP can also be used in the summertime toprovide low energy adiabatic cooling to an air handling unit. For every 1kg of humidity absorbed by the air around 0.68kWof cooling is also delivered. As a single Condair HP canprovide up to 1,300kg/h, the system can supplyapproximately 884kW of adiabatic cooling per hour, whileoperating on around just 2.2kW of electricity.

Hygiene is ensured with regular flush cycles to reduce bacterial growth in the water
Safe and hygienic operation
The Condair HP operates on purereverse osmosis (RO) water, ensuringthe water being introduced to the air is hygienic.
Regular automatic flush and draincycles prevent water from remaining in the pipelines of the humidifier longenough to stagnate.
An optional ultra-violet sterilisationsystem on the water pump stationoffers additional safeguards againstmicrobial growth.
Condair HP pump stations aremanufactured according to HACCPprinciples.
