New product development tocommercialization

This subject discusses scopes and resources needed for successful commercialization, specifically developing product profiles and objective, and define systems as parts of a life-cyle management strategy. In this course, students will be guided through the process behind the commercialization of life-science products or concepts.

Project in a life science company

As a partial fulfillment of the graduation, internship serves as a capstone experiential learning opportunity that is generated through a three-way partnership. Partnerships will develop between an approved organization, the institution, and graduates whereby the latter receives training to be market-ready in their concentration under the supervision and guidance of qualified professionals. Quality control operations

This course presents what quality operations mean and what the roles of quality operations are in ensuring cGMP compliance. In particular, the trainees will learn about how shop floor personnel can typically support the Quality in Operations and how Quality Operations in turns support the overall Quality Management System (QMS) maintenance in a pharmaceutical setting.

Thesis Students will need to submit a thesis for graduation. During the whole process, guidance will be provided to the students by the supervisor(s) to undertake their postgraduate thesis. The thesis provides an opportunity for investigation in the field of concentration that demands a synthesis of skills and knowledge acquired throughout the students’ academic learningjourney.

Good manufacturing practice (cGMP)

This course will be based on PIC/S requirements (PE 009-12) as published in the Introduction, Annex 1 and Annex 2 of PIC/S cGMP publications. Practical examples of each element presented will be provided to give trainees an overview of how their work and the facility they work at contribute to the compliance and do not pose a risk to patients to inadequate safety, efficacy, and quality.

Computer SystemValidation (CSV)

This course provides an introduction to the validation of computerized systems for use in Biopharmaceutical environments. It covers the application of the GAMP5 risk-based approach and creation of necessary validation and system lifecycle deliverables, supported with practical examples.

Validation lifecycle management

This course introduces trainees to validation lifecycle management concept. Trainees will be guided to current validation lifecycle management model used widely in the industry so that they have the necessary understanding of the workflow and documentation required to commission, qualify and validate a facility.
