SCN20

•HPC accommodation.

•Eliminates EPR Fluctuations.

•Improve transient detection logic.

•Improve Altitude Deceleration Stability.

•Improve Fuel Consumption at Cruise.

•Enhance quick relight.

Initial Engines operating with SCN20 software, thereafter SCN20A software.

EEC - SCN20

• HPC accommodation: Introduces a dedicated variable stator vane (VSV) schedule for SelectOneTM.

• Eliminates EPR Fluctuations: Avoids EPR fluctuations by hysterisis bandwidth revision of 7C bleed cycling.

• Improve transient detection logic: Enhance robustness of transient detection logic by the introduction of a new architecture.

• Improve Altitude Deceleration Stability: Increase compressor stability margin by raising the Engine 7C handling bleed valve trip speeds at altitude.

• Improve Fuel Consumption at Cruise: Reduce the Engine 7A bleed steady state trip speeds for high altitude.

• Enhanced quick relight: Provide the capability to derate the fuel scheduling during quick relight.

• Software enhancement to modify the 7C bleed schedule only on the ground during Take-off role.

• Software clearance and subsequent upload scheduled for year end.

• Modifies Engine Acceleration schedule.

High Pressure Compressor

• Temperature reduction at HPC delivery - T3; improving emissions and turbine entry - T4.

• Giving better EGT Margin.

• Which will lead to increased time on wing.

Servicing

• VSV lubrication: There is no routine task.

• SelectOneTM requires SCN20 as minimum standard.

• SCN20 & 20A intermixable with SCN19 and above, across wing.

• Current A5 and SelectOneTM engines intermixable across wing.
