Foreword

Now for the 7th time, IAV is inviting leading experts from all over the world to discuss the latest ideas, developments, and trends to minimize NOx emissions.

Since the fi rst conference in 2007, demand for emission control strategies has remained strong and the effi ciency of aftertreatment systems has seen continuous improvement.Future powertrains, equipped with combustion engines, need to be clean, fuel effi cient, cost eff ective, and robust at the same time. Meeting emission limits under all real driving conditions is therefore still an ongoing challenge for many technical experts.

In a comprehensive analysis, today’s internal combustion engines still meet the key requirements the best. However, the future of these propulsion systems now depends on the further improvement in environmental conformity – with a clear focus on nitrogen oxides.

The MinNOx conference is the well-established platform for these experts to intensify technical dialog and both show and discuss innovative technologies and development methods for further reducing NOx emissions at the tailpipe.

In this tradition, on behalf of IAV and the conference commit-tee, I would like to cordially invite you to join the 7th International MinNOx Conference to be held on June 19th and 20th in Berlin and to keep the MinNOx spirit alive!

Yours

Venues and Hotels

Conference venue and hotels:

1 ESMT – European Business Schoolof Management and TechnologySchlossplatz 110178 Berlin

The conference location lies in the heart of Berlin, next to Berlin Cathedral and the Museum island. The building was constructed in the 1960s and hosted the formal State Council, which was the highest institution of the GDR government. The front of the building is signifi cantly infl uenced by the Portal IV of the former Berlin City Palace. It was from the balcony of this portal that Karl Liebknecht proclaimed the “free socialist republic” in 1918.

Today, the building is home to the European School of Management and Technology. The international business school was founded by 25 leading global companies and institutions in 2006.

A selection of assorted hotels are off ered during the online registration process.

Please visit the section “Register” on the conference website (www.iav.com/MinNOx).
