Pre-historical era

• Scientists believe in pre historical era that entire area from MESOPOTAMIA TO THE BRITISH ISLANDS including ENTIRE SOUTH EUROPE with one raceor even MEGAETHINICS was setteled.

• For eg: semites and indo-Europeans mostly have similiarities than differences they spoke same languages and more similar to the ancient Georgian(Caucasian) languages.

• Acording to many scientists they are considered as the symbol as the Divine wisdom established in colchis.

• Generally it was mentioned in “arogonautics” is a mythos it is difficult to make the difference between the allergic and the real facts.

• These materials preserved in Georgian stste museum or in the city of Tbilisi

• The research could not be covered by these materials were not sufficient

• They are preserved in other cities of USSR.

• Mostly all the historical medical manuscripts preserved in archives of leningard were dated and described old and new works are of great importance into research for research of old Georgian medicine.

• The first medical book, Ustsoro Karabadini still extant, is dated 10th century.

• The level of Georgian medicine is given in the literary record of the 5thcentury Martyrdom of Shushanik, in which theauthor gives not only the methods of treatment and care of the patient, but also describes the direct and indirect causes of disease

2. Mythridate the Pontian preparing drugs (T. Mirzashvili)

• In the 13th century Khojakopili wrote a medical book Tsigni Saakimoi which corresponds with the "golden period" of Georgian history

• The last big work in medicine of old Georgia was ladigar Daudi written by David Batonishvili (Bagrationi) (16th century AD).There are more than 500 medical manuscripts in Georgian and foreign libraries.

3. Zaza Phanaskerteli the Georgian philosopher, medical author and

physician of 15th century (Mural at Kintsvisi Monastery).• Dozens of brilliant Georgian physicians received their

education in Russian and European medical schools. In Tbilisi, the Caucasian Medical Society was founded, which had a worldwide response and whose honorary members included Virkhov, Pirogov, Pasteur, Hirstli and Mechnikov.

Summary to GMM:

• Georgian medicine as well as the whole culture of Georgia, is one of the oldest in the world

• In more than the 500 medical manuscripts preserved and since described, there are traces of Sumerian medicine.
