5th ANNUAL Sweet Pea Ice Carving Competition 2021Create an Ice Masterpiece!

➢ Make a fantastic work of art by carving a crystal-clear block of ice during the ice carving competition. ➢ Solo carvers and teams of friends and family are welcome.

➢ All ice carvings judged by a panel of volunteers. Winners receive ribbons and cash prizes!

➢ Ice is provided as is the pedestal to carve on.

➢ Carving tools are available to borrow for a $10 refundable deposit.

➢ Chain saws may not be used. Battery operated power tools are okay. Power may not be available. ➢ Demo for beginner carvers Friday, Jan. 29 from 1pm-4pm at Soroptimist Park.

THIS AGREEMENT RELEASES VALUABLE RIGHTS — READ IT

CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY

name), on behalf of myself, my estate or heirs and any other person who may have a claim as a result of my death, injury or

disability (all hereafter “Releaser”), hereby FOREVER RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND INDEMNIFY the Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts, their officers, directors, board and employees and/or the City of Bozeman and any of its directors/officers/

employees insurers and agents (all hereafter “Releasers”), from any and all liabilities, claims, demands or causes of action that

I may sustain for injuries or damages arising out of my participation as an ice and/or snow carver, including but not limited tolosses caused by the passive or active negligence of the releaser.

Releaser understands and acknowledges that the activity of ice and/or snow carving has inherent dangers that cannot be

eliminated, and that there may be other risks not known or reasonably foreseeable at this time. Releaser acknowledges and

fully understands that social and economic losses may result from Releaser’s, and/or other’s actions, inactions or

negligence, notwithstanding the rules of play or the condition of the premises and any equipment used.

Releaser assumes all risk of personal injury, bodily injury, permanent disability or death sustained while

participating in the ice and snow carving competition including the risk of passive or active negligence of the

Releaser or any other participant.

This agreement is effective for the following date(s): 01/29-30/2021
