First ICPerMed Workshop June 2017– Result and Dissemination base (MoH-It)

• In the short and medium term:

• to involve more European infrastructures for PM research, to expand

and improve BioBanking.

• Training of all stakeholders, including clinicians in the use of new

technology and Big Data dissemination.

• Development of shared policies for Informed Consent across EU,

design and implementation of new EU legislation on Data protection to

ensure that it supports PM.

• In the long term:

• Standardisation/Harmonisation of all steps of data production from the

patient to the final database.

ICPerMed Best Practise Recognition 2019– 2nd call

- Launched on 21st of November 2018.

- Deadline for proposal submission was 21st of January, with an extension until 4th February 2019

- Opened to applicants worldwide.

- Proposal published and/or developed between January 1st, 2017 and October 31st,

2018 were eligible to apply.

- Call topics have been aligned to contents of 2nd ICPerMed Workshop 2019.

- The first three selected proposals will be invited to the ICPerMed Workshop 2019 in Madrid and

will be given the opportunity to present their results during a plenary session. In addition, the

successful candidates will receive a non – cash support for the dissemination of the best practice

example by the ICPerMed Secretariat in the value of € 500

- Some projects will be selected to the Poster presentantion during the ICPerMed Workshop 2019

• The international scope requires the participation in ICPerMed of health research funding and

policy-making organisations from Europe and from other regions, as is the case of the CELAC

region (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States), addressed in this specific project

proposal.

• In this regard it is important to remark that the CELAC group of countries has been prioritized within

the Horizon 2020Work Programme 2018-2020,to promote this collaboration, in particular related to

the uptake of personalised approaches in health systems and healthcare, taking into account social

and cultural aspects, health economy issues and equitable healthcare.

• EU-CELAC PerMed work will be developed in close coordination with ICPerMed and ERA

PerMedinitiatives

The event will be “back to back” with the ICPerMed 2nd workshop “Personalised Medicine for all citizens and patients within Sustainable Implementation”

Twenty researchers from European and LAC countries —priority given to those from LAC countries— will participate in a Training event with the aim of improving and sharing the appropriate knowledge and skills that will allow them to assess the impact of PM in the Health System in their countries.

It could be a chance to create research networking between EU & LAC countries.

EULAC PerMed Summer School: “Health Technology Assessment

Research in PM”

• 20 researchers from European and LAC countries —priority given to those from LACcountries— will participate in a Training event with the aim of improving and sharing theappropriate knowledge and skills that will allowthem to improve understanding of the health technology assessment (HTA) processes toincrease the research skills contributing to the HTA process.

• The Summer School participation fee is free and open to 20 LAC & EU participantswho will be evaluated and admitted on a competitive basis.

• Each eligible applicant will be evaluated according to three criteria: academicpotential; experience in the Summer School topics; personal motivation (includingthe usefulness of this training in their current activity).

• The EULAC-PerMed will award a scholarship to six (6) participants. The successfulcandidates will receive non-cash support to cover accommodation costs and travelexpense.

• The documents to be submitted electronically (english) for this purpose are: theCurriculum Vitae; a clear reference to the candidate's academic qualifications; theapplication form with the candidate’s interest in participating in the Summer Schooland a Reference letter.
