Pupil will be able to compare with the electoral symbols of parties and independent candidates.

Pupil will be able to realize the uses of electoral symbols and electronic voting machine.

CONTENT ANALYSIS

Facts.

Election commission grants electoral symbols to all recognized political parties.

Election commission provides symbols for independent candidates also.

Electoral symbols are inscribed in the electronic voting machine along with the names of the candidates.

Concept. Election commission grants electoral

symbols to all recognized political parties in India. Electoral symbols are inevitable part of Election.

Pre-requisites. Pupils are familiar with electoral symbols of political parties.

CLASS ROOM INTERACTION PROCEDURE

RESPONSE / EVALUATION

INTRODUCTION :-Teacher shows some video regarding latest Lok sabha election campaigning. Video included campaigning of Narendra Modi and Independent candidate Innocent (film star) in Kerala.

Students sit quietly and watch the videos.

ACTIVITY 1 :-Teacher shows pictures of electoral symbols along with the name of the recognized Indian Political parties. Then teacher asked the question “who grants these symbols to the political parties?”

“Election commission of India” pupil replied.

ACTIVITY 2 :-Then teacher shows certain pictures of electronic voting machine. “Can you see anything inscribed on the voting machine?” The teacher briefly described that electoral symbols are inscribed on the electronic voting machine along with the names of the candidates.

“Symbols along with the names of the candidate” pupil replied.

ACTIVITY 3 :-Do you know how to vote on electronic voting machine? Or How to cast vote by using electronic voting machine?

No

Then teacher shows the videos regarding the procedure of one casting vote using electronic voting machine.

Pupil excited and carefully watched the video.
