Electricity telecom company - ETC was granted the following licenses:

Domestic and international IP telephone service.Leased lines service.Fixed local telephone service.Domestic long distance service.

Saigon Post and Telecom Corporation was awarded a mobile license.The company signed a BCC contract with SLD Telecom.CDMA mobile service is scheduled to be launched in quarter 4 this year.

Due to advantages in: capital investment, price and deployment time.

Domestic and international IP telephone service licenses were granted to:

Vietnam Shipping Telecommunication Company (VISHIPEL) was offered a license to provide:

Inmarsat Access Services as Land Earth Station Operator.Inmarsat Services as Inmarsat Service Provider.Ship-to-Shore/Shore-to-Ship radio communication services.
