Key learning's :• Serious shortage of instructors / teachers in all domains.• Ready availability of top class educational content but this needs

“Glocalization”.• Education should be a fun, engaging “experience”.• Teaching format should encourage students to ask the questions &

find their own answers. Teach them url’s!• Convert into local languages - focus on local needs /availability. • Spoken word & visuals, the most analogue processes in teaching,

can & should be digitized. Think You Tube , think mp4 etc.• In technical subjects “Show me, Tell me, Let me “ approach

compresses learning time.• “Teach for tomorrow “ should be the vision & mission.

• Power of Virtual Teams, aka Tele presence. “Kar lo dunia mutthi mein”.• Develop standardized “presentation style” in multi media format.• Classroom teachers deliver standard “content“ in local languages using

PowerPoint style content. • Observers / senior teachers can join remotely. “Sustainable Teaching! “

With audio & video, real time from wherever they are.• Technology, for this is easily, cheaply & widely available. • Think IM (Instant messaging), Skype, Webex & many such free IP based

solutions.• Interconnect Schools “ for sharing teaching aids / resources . For e.g.

Secondary schools in Almora & Kathmandu have similar needs & can share “best practices“.

Some demos on this will be shown during presentation
