The scene: You have 1 minute to pitch.
Round 1
Your task• Use the PitchPlanner to plan your pitch = 15 mins• Person A: Make your pitch = 1 min• Person B: You are audience.
Provide feedback = 3 mins• Take the next person to your right and repeat process = cca 4 - 5 mins
Listen for the signal that ends each section

STEP BY STEP GUIDE
The scene: You have 1 minute to pitch.
Round 2
Your task:
• Use the PitchPlanner to revise and edit your pitch = 15 mins
• Person A: Make your pitch = 1 min
• Person B: You are audience. Provide (sticky note) feedback = 2 mins
• Turn to your right and repeat process = 4-5 mins
• Listen for the signal to end of each section
STEP BY STEP GUIDE
The scene: You have 1 minuteto pitch.
Round 3
Your task:
• Use the PitchPlanner to make final edits to your pitch from Round 2 = 10 mins
• Pitch to the Group = 1 min
Feedback:
• Each use a sticky it note to write down top three comments to help improve the pitch you just heard.
REGROUP | SHARE | REFLECT
• Remember your Audience Type (their Needs, Objectives and Reservations…)
• Use PitchPlanner to plan your pitch elements
• Practice, practice, practice … makes pitch perfect!

Pitch Night details+ If your team will NOT be available to pitch at Pitch Night, let me
know by 12pm Wed 9th Oct (tomorrow).
+ Each team will have five minutes to speak, followed by five minutes of Q&A from judges. Timing is strict – you WILL be cut off if you go overtime.
+ You may use slides, but only in PDF format, with NO audio or video. Your final slides must be emailed to [email protected] by 2pm Tue 15th Oct.
+ Pitching teams must arrive at venue by 5:15pm on Pitch Nightto be briefed, to test your slides and familiarise yourselves with the venue.

+ Come along to Pitch Club on Sat 12th Oct to practise your pitch to get valuable feedback – don’t forget to bring along the latest version of your slides.
+ We’d also recommend checking out previous years’ IACT pitches.
Pitch Night details+ The Pitch Night theatre seats up to 500 people, so invite your
family and friends to build up your support crew!
+ IACT19 teams who didn’t make the shortlist – please do still come along and support your peers and the IACT community!
+ Recipients of grants and other prizes will be announced at Awards Night on Sat 19th Oct, but the evening is also a celebration of all of you who have taken part in this year’s program, so we hope you can all join us.
The Top 10
The Top 10+ Feedback from judges will be emailed to ALL Top 20 teams tomorrow.
+ For the Top 10 in particular, take this feedback seriously and incorporate them into your ventures – these are the same judges whowill be judging your pitches on Pitch Night!
+ All teams should keep an eye out for extra prizes being announced in the next week – many of these are available for application by all teams, including those who did not make the shortlist.
+ This is not the end of your journeys. Even if you don’t make the shortlist, there is still more support out there in the community.
