The month, of November pro duced six new members for the United States Air Force from Torrance and Lomlta out of the total of 13 signed up by Mas ter Sgt. James R. Callison, in charge of the local recruiting station located in the Torrance Chamber of Commerce building.
Three of the six had previous service in the armed forces while the other trio were all new recruits. From Torrance were Kenneth H. Morgan, Mur ray Hotel, who had four years seivice in the Atmy Medical Corps; John W. Snowder, 611-B Portola ave., who served three yeai-s in the Navy and John R. Walsh, 370S W. 190th st, with previous duty in the Army ground forces.
New reciuits were Fred C. Tilden, 806 W."Carson St.; Del bert C. Thomas, 2040 264th st., Lomita and Billie Moon, Tor ranee. All six signed up for three-year enlistments in the
iAir Force.
Audiometer Fund Grows
Contributions for the audio meter to be given to Torrance City schools are coming in very well, according to Mrs. Gertrude Boyle, In charge of the drive iponsored by the American Le sion Auxiliary.
New donors are the Perry School P.T.A., $20; National Business and Professional Wo men's Club, $10; V.F.W. Auxil- iary, $10 : Fern Avenue P.T.A., $10; and the Women of the Moose, $5.
