At Idolise Interiors we are experts in transforming even the blandest of old and new buildings into design masterpieces. Each

colour, texture and pattern, alongside exquisite lighting strategies provided by our lighting consultants.

We have an extensive knowledge of the complete interior design process from concept and feasibility to the production of

detailed drawings, furniture, fixtures and equipment specifications, through to proficient design management. As part of this

process, Idolise Interiors call upon specialists in all fields to complete on-site installations: from architects, builders,

fabricators and furniture manufacturers to textile consultants and visual merchandisers.

Latitude, Altitude and Star lounges burst with sun burnt

red, orange and yellow.

Vintage style furniture is used in contrast against the new,

Idolise Interiors is owned and operated by Managing Director, Karen Comber. Karen is

a UK born interior designer and graduate of London Brunel University. Karen delivers

contemporary interior solutions with passion and a unique and colourful twist. Her

specialism is in commercial hospitality, with an emphasis on delivering product quality

and value for money.

Karen built her career at some of the best design practices in London, such as

Kracka360, where she co-produced the interior design package for the Iconic

Kensington Roof Gardens in London, for Virgin Clubs.

In the early 00’s she spent a sabbatical in the French Alps, running her own

snowboarding chalet company with her husband. However Karen never forgot her

passion for design and spent her down time creating contemporary chalet interiors for

elite clientele in Chamonix.

Karen made her move to the UAE in the 00’s when she was offered the opportunity to

design the interior of a 5-Star Al Wahda Hotel in Abu Dhabi, for Millennium Hotels

Group. The next few years in the UAE turned out to be a prolific time for Karen, where

she carried out a number of impressive projects. These included high profile 5-star

hotels and restaurants, such as The Warehouse and the recently opened Long Yin at

Le Meridien Hotel Dubai; Centro Hotels for Rotana; the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel;

Rotana Resort Hotel on Yas Island and; The Intercontinental West Bay Hotel and

Apartments in Doha, Qatar.

Karen is just one part of the team who deliver great things at Idolise Interiors. When

Meet Karen


Fernando is our Projects Manager, responsible for the day-to-day management of the

project details. He is on board once the creative conceptualization has been developed

and then takes a fully integrated role with the schematic design and detail stages,

through documentation, bid phase and site implementation,

He is a dedicated individual dedicated in bringing his wealth of experience having

served as project architect on assignments throughout the Middle East, Hong Kong,

Singapore, South America and the United Kingdom. Adept in presenting conceptual

ideas, managing local and international technical requirements and fostering a

collaborative process between all parties

Fernando developed his career as a Design Architect from bid and concept to tender

and construction, he has gained experience in all aspects of the architectural

production. Being involved in all phases, He enjoys a hands-on approach with the

project team to understand everybody’s needs, in order to better coordinate with clients,

consultants and all factors at concept, schematic and detail stages accordingly,

developing a fully defined and robust product from clear requirements and brief while

anticipating the best set of deliverables and documentation. He has enjoyed working

with local architects, consultants & contractors involved in a number of schemes with

the ultimate goal to deliver creative excellence. He has led small teams, preparing

architectural presentations, technical details while researching new design alternatives

and solutions with the material incorporation of all technical and planning aspects

according to local regulations and international standards coordinating our consultant’s

inputs while updating programs on a daily basis in coordination with the project director

with duties at different stages.

Stage 1 - Client Brief

The client’s brief is the first seed to be planted in an Idolise Interiors project. We listen carefully to your tastes and

requirements so we may progress to the next stage.

Stage 2 - Moods Concept

Inspirational imagery is presented in order to give you a feel for your desired interior.

Stage 3 - Concept Moods Development

Now the foundations of the planning can begin, with the main inspiration images of the design presented to you. FF&E boards

are added during this phase. Initial selections of furniture, lighting, fabrics and accessories are presented to you to begin

enhancing the mood of the interior. Scaled freehand layouts are produced to further explain to you the design concept and

explain any unique ideas, allowing the interior to start coming to life.

Stage 4 - Concept Resolution

At this stage Idolise interiors use client comments and resolve any design likes and dislikes along with physical challenges.

The client must sign off each of the three stages so we can progress to Detailed Design. This involves transforming the

sketches into meticulous drawings and computer rendered images, detailed joinery and full FF&E specification sheets. Artistic

visualisations are also completed at this stage.

Stage 5 - Detailed Design Phase

The designer feeds the next phase by fine tuning plan layouts, elevations, sections, RCPS, fabric and colour palettes

selections, in conjunction with the specialist consultants. This collaboration results in a final set of detailed design intent

drawings, sanitary specifications, plus hard and soft specifications required to submit for tender and build the project. Your

budget and project requirements are taken into careful consideration throughout this process.

integrity.

Inspired by the idea to ‘simplify your life’, this resort is a little drop of heaven on earth. The

rustic beauty of remote island living, blended with colonial elegance, are brought together

with a splash of quirky elements, surrounded by a crystal water lagoon.

98 thatched villas feature cosy and welcoming interiors, with contemporary simple fabrics in

contrast against the woodwork. It’s very easy to make yourself at home here. Luscious

green landscapes can be enjoyed from glass-walled treatment rooms in the resort spa, and

timber and stone surfaces give breathing space and enhance the tranquil mood.

Large statement lighting fills the many high ceilings and open spaces in the resort, giving
