Summary of MBAN and IEEE80215.4n
23/4/22 2
• MBAN has a great potential to revolutionize the future of healthcare technologies.
• The purpose of IEEE802.15.4n is to establish a short range, low power and highly reliable wireless communication standard for China, which serves a variety of medical and non-medical applications.
• One emergent application is able to monitor some physiological parameters of patients in real time and provide assistance and guidance for the diagnosis and prevention of major diseases.

Challenges to Healthcare
23/4/22 3
• Increasing in chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes and coronary heart disease
• Weak awareness of prevention, lack of measures
• Serious shortage of health care resources
• Means of high-cost medical care are hard to meet the popular demand
• Current relationship between doctor and patient is very nervous

Population Aging in China
23/4/22 4
• China's aging population is a serious problem.Aged 60 or older population reached 185 million, accounting for one fifth of the world's total elderly population.
• Community and family health care field are still in the blank
• Nursing home health care lags behind

MBAN Application Context and Requirements
23/4/22 5
• Clinical environment requirements in hospital ER, OR, ICU, Surgery, Ambulatory, Radiology, Ambulance
• Medical care in geracomium Assisted Living, Activity room
• Remote patient monitoring at home Bedroom, living room
Common needs: Convenience of patients, real-time monitoring, with data storage, sending and receiving, processing and alarm functions. Network has the ability to integration with other networks. WBAN system can analyze the user's physical condition, and make analysis and prevention of chronic diseases.
