Launched for the 2011 Membership Year

Members in countries with a GDP/Capita of <$15,000 USD are be able to choose IEEE e-Membership for US$50 (now $25 in ½ year dues period!) What is e-Membership? All of the benefits and opportunities of standard IEEE membership, just no printed materials

Marketing, the new version has a primary goal

of improving the student membership

7. IEEE Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE)

In 2009 MGA started work on the framework for the IEEE Center for Leadership Excellence, a program to develop future volunteer leaders of the IEEE

Recent Progress:

8. IEEE Contact Center Improvements

The contact center expanded coverage to 24 hours x 5 days per week, increasing service hours from 40 to 120 hours per week; and initiated a first call resolution improvement program

First Call Resolution: 74.1% vs. Industry Benchmark of 60%

9,400 Contact Center interactions surveyed in 2009

Result:

Overall rating of Satisfied/Highly Satisfied increased from 70%

(before expanded hours pilot) to 85.5% in 4Q 2009

9. Rupee Payments for Students in India

Program expanded to all students in India in October 2010 – Results through January: 2,196 joins, 330 renewals – total

collected $73,047.

– Being used by student sections remitting group payments

– Though available and marketed, not being used by individuals

Plan is to review results through June, compare results to the original proposal and recommend next steps – Comparison of join and renewal rates before and after program
