Activities Activities can include travel questions which are about the journey, rather than the destination, sports, hobbies, including cooking, keeping fit, work or voluntary work. Events Events includes festivals, national holidays, weddings, meetings, the birth of a child, an anniversary, a music event, a concert, a sporting event, a party, a presentation, a speech and so on. Experiences Experiences is a HUGE topic, because it can include meeting a friend unexpectedly, an accident, waking up early, recieving good service, a time you became angry, something that made you smile, something you liked or didn't like at school and so on. Often the cue card asks how you felt at the time, so try to learn some appropriate vocabulary for describing feelings or emotions. Media Media questions involve books, films, social media (Facebook and Twitter and so on) the Internet, TV, radio and newspapers. You may be asked about some news you read recently, or, more often, a favourite book, film or website, or ones which has an impression of you. Places Places questions are about buildings such as an interesting building, an architectural example or a new or old building, and about different places such as a colourful place, a street market, a museum, an art gallery, a park or garden, or even a holiday destination or city that you have visited, have enjoyed or want to visit. People People questions can relate to friends, family, neighbours or colleagues. They could focus on the person's attrributes (being a good leader, good cook, being adventurous or being caring), why you like them or where you met them. They may relate to someone famous or someone well-known in your country or hometown. Things
