DESCRIPTION
Welcome to the 6th annual I.F. O.N.L.Y., International Festival Of a Necessarily Lonely You; the only dance festival dedicated to dance solos in Ireland. Although Legitimate Bodies Dance Company has completed its 5 year residency in Birr and relocated to the East Coast of Ireland, its presence has generated momentum for contemporary dance in the Midlands. I.F. O.N.L.Y. is excited to build on this interest and present you another extraordinary calendar of events for all ages and tastes. From free performances, workshops, talks, exhibitions, screenings and networking opportunities, this is the time to think, breath, live and enjoy dance in Offaly! A very special thank you to all the venues and the generous people who have supported this year’s festival and made it possible. I hope the community will respond to the festival by taking part in all the events. I believe that dance and the arts in general should not be an after-thought but a human necessity.TRANSCRIPT

Regardless of the economic crisis or the rural location of the Midlands,I.F. O.N.L.Y. is designed to be a time to come together as a community and to celebrate the . the power of body as expressed through contemporary dance.
