Islander (API), and other multi-ethnic
clients throughout San Diego County.
We want you to know that when talking
to your therapist, counselor, or case
manager about both mental health and
alcohol and drug problems, these
discussions will be treated with the
utmost respect. We want to work with
you as you begin to share and identify
your concerns, and together we can
develop a plan to implement positive
changes.

5-20 years of age
has MediCal insurance OR no insurance

Adolescent Mental Health Program.

Our MissionThe mission of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services is to promote positive emotional and behavioral health through culturally competent treatment services. The target populations are children, adolescents, young adults and their families with special multi-cultural and mental health needs.

We recognize that each young person has special strengths. Services are designed to maximize these strengths as well as meet specific individual and family needs. Our primary function is to serve as a support resource through counseling services.
Meet the Support Team
Therapist - Provides therapeutic support to the youth and family through individual, family and/or group therapy that facilitates the resiliency and strengthening of the individual’s healthy skills in the home, school and community.
Rehabilitation Specialist (RS)- Provides assistance in improving, maintaining, and/or restoring an individual’s functional skills, daily living skills, and social skills and accessing other community resources. Collaborates with Therapist and provides support to the family.
Substance Abuse Specialist - Provides education and treatment of substance use and abuse to the youth and family through individual, family and/or group services that empowers change through supportive, culturally sensitive and understanding services.
Psychiatrist - Provides medication evaluation and management per need of the youth through collaboration with the Therapist, RS, Substance Abuse Specialist, youth and family.
Our Support Team come from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds and we are capable of providing services directly in the following languages: English French Spanish Indonesian Cambodian Mandarin Cantonese Dutch Tagalog Vietnamese
We utilize Interpreters for any language not listed above. A youth/family will not be turned away from services due to a language barrier.
