Step 1 – Bus stops, opens doors, and passengers board the bus, while other passengers alight..

Step 2 – The IRIS/IRMA counters, look for both directional motion and infrared heat signatures to determine counts.

Step 3 – The IVLU and MDT equipment interpret the data and create a transmittal message to the home base.

Step 4,5 & 6 – The signal is sent over the radio towers back to the base..

Step 11 – Ridecheck Plus (RSM) processes DataMart data with data cleansing filters and ridership reports are ready to be generated.

Step 8 – TM Logger Application prepares data packet for delivery to Daily Log database.

Step 7 – MCC Server decodes radio, message and sends it to TM Logger.

Step 9 – Daily Log receives count data, including off routes, unassociated counts etc....

Step 10 – The Staging Process runs through Daily Log and moves most of the data to Data Mart.
