ABOUT US2045Tech is an Italian start-up Italian engaged in the design and development of biomedical devices that can be connected to smartphones, devices for distributed intelligence and apps/services related to wellness, and home automation. Floome is the first developed product.
2045Tech raised 300K€ during an Angel Round in 2015.

In January 2015, Floome premiered at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where it generated a lot of interest and positive feedback from experts, journalists, and distributors.

In September 2015 Floome was presented during IFA in Berlin. The company grow the retail network and receive a lot of media coverage.
CETAC TOKYO

In October 2015 Floome was presented during CETAC in Tokyo. The launch in Japan was impressive, beyond our expectations.

Sales began during August 2015. We are now active in 25 different countries worldwide. Floome is available in both retail stores and online on floome.com and Amazon.
THE FIRST 5 MONTHS FOR FLOOME AND THE NEAR FUTURE

We are a startup that has generated €330K of revenues in 5 months with a team of three people. We want to continue making roads safer, one blow at a time. We are now opening other six new countries, and increasing our on-line presence (with both branding and communications activities). In 2016 we aim at €1.5M in revenues with a 19% EBITDA/Revenues ratio, and a team of six people.

Floome measures your blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and sends the results directly to your smartphone. How does it work? Just plug it into your smartphone via a standard audio jack, open the mouthpiece and blow - no batteries required.
TECHNOLOGY
Technology
The innovative technology is based on a vortex whistle coupled with a fuel cell: the same type of technology used in professional breathalyzers used by law enforcement officers.
The fuel cell detects alcohol by burning with oxygen, generating a precise amount of current per each molecule of ethanol being detected. This makes fuel cell technology the only
existing professional detector for measuring ethanol.
APP SERVICE
App service
Thanks to the dedicated app, Floome suggests what to do in case the alcohol content is beyond the permitted limit by the law of the State/Country where you are.
FRIENDS By creating your own list of favorite friends, you can call them via the app or send them
a message with your location.
FOOD Looking for something to eat to lower your BAC? With the app you can find
restaurants nearby
TAXI If you cannot get behind the wheel, Floome's app will help you find and
call taxi for you.
SHARE You can share your tests with friends along with a selfie to let them know
you're ok, or may need a ride.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The device chassis is made of an ABS/Polycarbonate blend, which makes it shock resistant, in principle. The mouthpiece is made of a non-toxic solvent-free silicone rubber, suitable for lip contact.
Electrochemical fuel-cell sensor, combined with a vortex whistle flow-meter.
BAC from .005 to 0.250 g/dL.
The display interval matches the measurement interval. If a sample with more than the maximum measurable concentration is introduced, the text “> .250 g/dL” will be shown.
Operating: 10-40°C, non-condensing humidity between 10 and 90% RH, ambient pressure from 700 to 1200 hPa. Storage: 0-50°C
The minimum sampled volume is 0.5L and it requires a duration of the blow of at least 2.5 seconds.
Measurement’s accuracy depends on the measured value: e.g. BAC from .000 a .100 g/dL: ±0.0075 g/dL; BAC from .100 to .250 g/dL: ±7.5% of displayed value

The device does not require any external power source. It is equipped, inside, with a battery, which will assure a life of 3000 tests or 10 years, whichever comes first.
