If You Give a Mongolian Some Money…

If you give a Mongolian some money, he’s going to ask to buy a pony. When you let him buy the

pony, he’s going to ask for somewhere to ride it.

If you give him somewhere to ride it, it will probably not be big enough because he rides an average of 100 miles day. So you let them

ride in Northwest Asia.

If you give him a place to ride, he’s going to want control of it, so he will need an efficient weapon to fight with. When you give him a double curved bow with arrows, he’s going to ask for a lightweight curved sword to go with it.

And if you give him a double curved bow, you’ll

have to give him lightweight armor to

protect himself while still being able to flee from

enemies.

And if he is to be doing all this traveling and moving, he is going to need a fresh mount, so you give him three or more ponies. With these ponies, he will be able to

live a month or more on the mare’s milk in a dire situation.

And if you give a Mongolian these things, he’s going to ask for other well-disciplined archers, lancers to finish off the enemy and keshik to raid the cities. They only fight in units of 10’s, 100’s, 1,000’s and higher, so he’ll

ask for a leader. You give him Genghis Khan and his kin.

But if he has all of this, he will insist on fighting from a higher elevation so it will be easier to

defend himself.

He is then going to conquer the Jurchens and the Xia dynasty in western China. The Mongolian will begin

to take more control and cause more terror.

Soon, the Mongolian and his army will take more parts of Asia. If you let them do this, they’re

going to want even more land, so you give them some siege machines

(catapults).

And when they have these machines, other armies will surrender, so the Mongols will use them as human shields in battle. This will increase their chance of

victory.

If he feels more confident in his ability to win, he is going to cause more destruction and spread even

more fear. He and his army are going to go after even more land to the west and the south.

If you let him go after more land, he’s going to spy on his enemies, split his men into

several groups, and use psychological fear tactics to force surrender like tying tree

branches behind their horses to make dust clouds.

Once the Mongols have total control of Central Asia, they’re going to want to expand, so you let them take the Middle East and Persia. But if they take this area, they will want

Russia, China, and parts of Europe.

So if you let them go, they will probably destroy Russian cities including Moscow and cause terror in Europe and India. Everyone will most likely write about their pillaging and raiding. Russia will probably reunite to resist.

However, these conquests can be quite costly. To finance all of this, the Mongol will ask for

submission and taxes from all of his conquered areas.

In order to stay safe from the terrorization and pillaging, the territories will give the

Mongol some money…
