Cut out The Iroquois are Five Nations heading and glue it below the five flaps. In-

side each flap write information about each tribe.

For best results print on

cardstock. Color the side

flaps brown to resemble a

longhouse. Cut on the out-

side lines as one shape.

Fold the bottom flap up and

the sides in.

If you would like, you

can cut out the door of

the longhouse or even at-

tach a small piece of

brown cloth. Inside the

book, write about the

longhouse and/or draw

what the inside of a long-

house looks like.

Using another sheet of paper, the same color and thickness as your book, cut two long strips, each 8 cm. wide.

Fold these accordion style and affix to the back and front of the minibook.

Cut out the two rectangles and fold on dotted lines. Write facts

about Longnose and other punishments inside rectangle # 1.

Prepare the Longnose pop-up:

Decorate the inside of rectangle 2 to represent the Longnose mask.

Color the triangle/nose if desired. Cut out the triangle and fold in

half from tip to bottom center. Fold back tabs (valley fold) on dot-

ted lines and glue tabs to the card where indicated to form the

nose of your mask. (See photo for help in placement.)

Assemble the book:

Glue the two folded rectangles together where indicated to form a

multi-page book.

Print on cardstock. Cut out both pieces. Cut the slit on the dotted line of the FRONT piece. Insert the PULL TAB through the slit. When you

glue down the book, make sure to glue only around the outermost edges and not in the center. You want the slider to remain free to move up

and down.
