If you Stand very Still
If you stand very still in the heart of a wood you will hear many wonderful things. The snap of a twig and the wind in the trees and the whirl of invisible wings. If you stand very still in the turmoil of life and you wait for the voice from within, you’ll be led down the way of wisdom and peace, through the rough world of chaos and din. If you stand very still and hold onto your faith you will get all the help that you ask. You will draw from the silence the things that you need - hope and courage and strength for your task. - Anon
In addition to the church collections above, we also receive on average £420 per month from direct debits. Enormous thanks.

Scripture Readings for this week’s Masses:
Our Local Foodbank - Many thanks for your continuing support. However, the continuing requests for help have seen some of the supplies become very depleted. This week we need jam, tinned corned beef and mince, tinned potatoes and vegetables. We have large supplies of tinned beans and soup so do not need these specific items at present. We would be truly grateful for any help you could give no matter how small. The need for assistance is local and very real. Our continued thanks to you all. The God who speaks - God comes to us in the Mass, in our Communion, in the teaching we hear at Mass and in the Scripture readings. If Jesus stood in front of you and spoke to you, you’d listen. The good news is that he does that in the Mass readings. Start today to listen carefully. Woodhouse Close Crisis Project are in urgent need of curtains, towels and bedding. If you are able to help, donations can be dropped off either at Woodhouse Close Church or at St Mary’s or St Wilfrid’s. Thank you. First Holy Communion - our young children making their first Holy Communion are now well on in their preparations. But there may be some older youngsters (10 years old or more) who have missed out in earlier years. We’d like to hear about them and make alternative arrangements. If you are aware of anyone, please ask a family member to get in touch with Fr Dennis as soon as possible. Thank you. Lent - The Lent Extra booklet is now available at the back of church for the giveaway price of only £1.50. Do get yours to help you through Lent. When they’re gone they’re gone. The Lent lunches for our area are: Wednesday 11 March at 12.00pm at Bishop Auck. Methodist Church, DL14 6EN Wednesday 18 March at 12.00pm at Woodhouse Close Church, DL14 6DP Wednesday 25 March at 12.00pm at South Church Methodist Church, DL14 6STWednesday 1 April at 12.00pm at St Anne’s Anglican Church, DL14 7J Lenten Reflection - each Monday during Lent, at
