As the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies, IFAT
presents strategies and solutions in the sectors for water, sewage,
waste and raw materials management for using resources in intelligent
cycles in a manner that ensures their long-term preservation—and
with a great deal of success!
When it was held in 2014, IFAT broke all records and did an impressive
job of demonstrating its leading position. A total of 3,081 exhibitors from
59 countries presented their extensive product and service portfolios
in the sectors for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management
on more than 230,000 square meters of exhibition space.
A total of 135,288 visitors from 168 countries were on site to ex-
perience the latest industry trends and use IFAT as a visionary platform
for international networking. The fair’s outstanding events program
convinced visitors due to its wide range of topics and the collaboration of
several trade associations and political organizations.
The next IFAT takes place in Munich from May 30 to June 3, 2016. Once
again it will revolve around profound expert knowledge. Take advantage

Unique: Your machines, vehicles and products in practical use.
At the Building Materials Recycling demonstrations, the VDBUM shows
how machines, excavators and attachments are used on asphalt, concrete,
steel and building materials.
The Practical Days (VDMA) focus on the shredding technologies of various
manufacturers and include live demonstrations of how they are used for
biomass such as standing timber, scrap wood and green cuttings.
The Trucks in Action (VAK) demonstrations revolve around vehicles
and superstructures in the sectors for waste disposal, street cleaning,
winter road services and sewer cleaning.
The Car Recycling (BDSV) demonstrations focus on storage, drainage
and the removal of hazardous materials from end-of-life vehicles to recover
resources.
The Professional Competition (DWA) allows aspiring specialists and
seasoned professionals to put their know-how in the field of sewers
and sewage treatment plants to the test.
Inspiring and spectacular: Live demonstrations at IFAT.
The Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) presents preventative
systems for flood protection and show mobile systems for purifying
drinking water in actual use.

of ACWUA (Arab Countries Water Utilities Association) and UN Water:
A total of eight UN organizations not only have a stand at the fair, but are
