umantis success story with IFJ Since 1989 the «Institut für Jungunternehmen» has supported several 10‘000 start-ups in the establishment of their companies. The comprehensive offer includes business plan workshops, business plan software, employer manual and toolbox, start-up parks at exhibitions, networking events and online platforms as free of charge know how and information sources. In addition IFJ has the overall responsi-bility for the federal conveyance initiative «venturelab».

Challenge

Each year IFJ organises around 500 workshops and events with more than 10’000 partici-pants. The idea was to handle the professional coordination, the planning, the publication and the overall administration of all event pro-grams with the aid of a simple system. To in-crease the efficiency seminar participants should be able to search for events and to comfortably register via SelfService. Further-more partners of IFJ should be able to work with the software from different locations.

Why umantis?

In 2001 umantis convinced as a start-up with a motivated and competent founder team. The software was based on an innovative tech- nology and was customisable to the needs of IFJ. Thanks to the web-based approach of umantis the cooperation of IFJ with various partners at different locations is no longer a problem. The overview of running processes is guaranteed and the current state of events can be called at any time and from all quar-ters. With umantis IFJ has meanwhile grown to be a national player with various geographic locations.
