TRANSCRIPT
IFTER company is a well known manufacturer of the building management systems software, which includes: Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Access
Control Systems (ACC), Intruder & Hold Up Alarm Systems (I&HAS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), building automation systems and control-
measuring systems. All the supported systems are integrated in a one software – IFTER EQU enabling full usage of those systems.
InPro BMS has been created since the year
2000. On the basis of experiences gained
during that time, IFTER EQU was produced
in 2015. Thanks to the comprehensive
changes, we have created the product that is
even more flexible and intuitive. Additionally,
ensures better security and stability.
Product
The flexible work environment, that our software offers, makes
it ideal choice for a wide range of uses. It is a good solution for
such objects as factories, shopping centres, military buildings,
office buildings, hospitals or any other. It works excellently both
with building management systems and perimeter security.
Vast scaling capabilities allow IFTER EQU
to be used both at large and at small objects.
Usage
System's structureIFTER EQU works with Oracle SQL database. Thanks to this solution you can build a system with multiple stations, where each computer can simultaneously save and read out a database.
System uses a client-server architecture. It allows you to implement flexible and stable solution and to start multiple computers at the same time. Database server is installed on the main computer and other computers connect with the main one. Database stores configuration and events. Every time a change is introduced to the system, it is saved on all computers. Thanks to this solution user can work online. Both database and IFTER EQU can be installed on the same computer.
Integration server connects with supported devices and registers all events, logging them in the database.
SNMP gateway
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a standard protocol for managing devices included within IP network. SNMP is a common solution for network management systems and network devices monitoring. SNMP is a part of Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) defined by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). It consists of the group of network management standards which contain application layer, data scheme and data objects. SNMP devices provide data in a form of variables and Traps. At the same time user is able to fully manage them through surveillance systems.
Built-in SNMP support allows to provide external SNMP Clients with data downloaded from integrated devices. Through SNMP server, IFTER EQU is able to share data collected from alarm control units, fire alarm control units, access control system and control-measuring devices. Thanks to SNM Server included in IFTER EQU, external systems without a direct SmartLoop control unit support can be provided with all data regarding this particular control unit.

OPC (OLE for process control) is an open communication protocol used in building automatics. It has been created to connect applications based on Windows operating system with measuring systems, building automation, security systems and other devices.
Built-in SNMP support allows to provide external OPC Clients with data downloaded from integrated devices. Through OPC server IFTER EQU is able to share data collected from alarm control units, fire alarm control units, access control system and control-measuring devices. Thanks to OPC Server included in IFTER EQU, external systems without a direct SmartLoop control unit support can be provided with all data regarding this particular control unit.
System's structure
IFTER EQU is typical network system based
on the common TCP/IP protocol. Depending on the
needs, it can be used to create a system with one or more
computers. It enables to set computers in such place
where they can be optimally used, e.g.: at the security
room, technical manager room, pass office, etc.
Each computer can support local devices, without
influence on the functionality and usage of those devices.
IFTER EQU is an information system for visualisation, integration
and building management systems. The visualisation enables to
present, in a graphic way, the states of devices placed at object.
The look of graphic icons allows to
easily identify their type and the actual
state of device. Devices change their
look immediately.
In order to present the localisation of devices in a building, their
graphic icons are presented on the architectural and geodetic plans.
Clicking at an icon gives information about the last alarm and event
from that particular device. It also allows to control the state of device.
Visualisation. Graphic presentation
Events, recorded in devices, are relayed to
IFTER EQU and presented in the event
and the alarm logs. Those events are kept
in the database, thus it can be read later.
Alarm events are presented in both ways:
1. active alarms – need to be confirmed
2. all alarms
Due to the occurred danger, an operator
follows procedures when confirming an
alarm. Every alarm can be commented by
an operator. The comments can be chosen
from the default list or entered by operator.

Practical solutions – Fire Alarm System
The visualisation of FAS allows to preview the state of the system in real-time. Devices'
icons, placed on the architectural plan, make it easier to locate a device. In case of
emergency, the notifying device changes its colour to red.
Danger detection elements, combined together
with the CCTV cameras, give us the automatic
view from a specific camera, at the time of
danger appearance.
Practical solutions – Intruder & Hold Up Alarm Systems
Constant control over I&HAS state and
bypassing of detectors, is possible thanks to
the arrangement of elements on the
architectural plan. Additional functionality is
arming/ disarming alarm groups, blocking
inputs and controlling outputs. There is also
a possibility to combine elements with CCTV
cameras; building automatics system;
scripts; etc. For example, opening a window
causes turning-off the air conditioning
system.
Besides the closed-objects, IFTER EQU can also control
the opened-objects. Using peripherals and their functions
we get the system that controls perimeter security.
Practical solutions – Perimeter security
IFTER EQU, thanks to ACC, controls the flow of people at
an object. It is able to constantly inform about the number
of people present at individual parts of a building.
An operator sees the personal data every time
someone passes the supervised door. He/she can
verify the identity of that person via camera view.
If a person is on reserved-people list, the warning
message will be displayed.
Practical solutions – Access Control System
Practical solutions – Building automation
Building automation is supported by the open
communication protocols. It enables to support
many devices of different manufacturers.
Systems' environmental parameters
(ventilation, humidity, etc.) are displayed on
architectural plans or through
the presentation of technological lines.
The control is carried out:
manually – by user, when using visualisation
automatic – follows specific tasks schedule
automatically – as a result of script's work
automatically - as a result of changes in
another system
Practical solutions – control-measuring devices
Control–measuring systems are supported the
same way as the building automation system
– by open communication protocols. It enhances
the range of monitoring possibilities, because it
supports many devices of different manufacturers
of electric meters, heat meters, cold meters,
water meters, etc. as well as UPS, temperature,
humidity and more. Displaying measuring
elements in a graphic way, allows to specify their
type and present the measured value.
Trends allow to record the input values. It enables to analyse data. It can be presented as a graph or a tabular summary.
The way of recording the value can be configured separately for every trend.
Parameters can be recorded periodically, when changing a value (logical values), or as a reaction to the incremental value (analogue values).
Schedules help to specify time intervals when data has to be recorded.
Practical solutions – control-measuring systems and automation, trends
Thresholds allow to define the numerical value-ranges, used to present alarm states, warning states, and usual work state. The change of range can call out alarm or execute a script. This kind of functionality allows to control , e.g.: the temperature in data center, turning on the ventilation when temperature increases, and also the way of alarming about temperature growing above defined values.
For example, assuming that 25°C is usual state, 25 – 40°C is high
temperature state, higher than 40°C is alarm state
and after that an alarm is raised.
Practical solutions – control-measuring setups and automation, tresholds
In order to increase the flexibility of IFTER EQU, it has been equipped with the Lua scripting language. Lua gives user a freedom in defining the relation between particular system's components.
The usage of the universal language simplifies configuration for those users who had experience with this language in other solutions. The input parameters for scripts are I/O states, schedules, date and time, etc., which are analysed and used to control output states or internal variables.
Scripts can be raised automatically, according to schedules, or when changing the state of a device or the value of a variable. Manual script start is realised via visualisation.
Practical solutions - scripts
Managing numerous buildings
can be carried out from a one
monitoring center or it can be
set in many scattered buildings.
Remote management of distributed buildings
Thanks to its scaling capabilities, IFTER EQU is installed both at small
and complexed objects of elaborate architecture.
The data is presented quickly and intuitively, regardless
to the size of a building. Thus, in case of emergency,
an operator, with the full support of IFTER EQU, can effectively
counteract those dangers. In order to simplify the structure, devices can
be connected to local computers.
Integrational capabilities
While managing complexed buildings, with a great amount of elements or objects with elevated security requirements, it is a good
solution to create visualisation that will be displayed at four, self-sufficient monitors.
It allows both to preview events all the time and display specific parts of a building at the same time. Thus, a user can specify which
event is the most safety-threatening, and can carry out the protection of object more effectively.
Multiple monitors
Network devices
IFTER EQU can be used both as a server or the SNMP client. When working as the SNMP client – it supports devices equipped with the protocol. If working as a server – it supports information from the system, e.g. Intruder and Hold Up Alarm Systems and then relays it to other systems.
The built-in support of the protocol, allows to get all the parameters that are available on this specific device. The newest version supports the authentication. Together with the encrypted communication, it enhances the security of transferred data.
IFTER EQU software enables to divide the received information to groups and later send them to all users of the system or only to chosen ones.
Advantages
Main advantages of IFTER EQU system:
the use of SQL database that increases the effectiveness,
