The Seoul module is part of the IGLUS Executive Master. The Master program focuses on 6 key challenges for urban development, each time within the scope of one performance dimension (Efficiency, Sustainability and Resilience), embodied by the 6 chosen cities:

An Executive Master degree can be obtained by following 5 of the 6 available modules within a two-year period. Each module consists of two weeks of training. In order to obtain the degree, a capstone 60-page Master thesis is also required.

Participants will attend lectures, workshop and field visits during 11 days of training. The following four infrastructures and topical areas will be covered:

1. Water, wastewater and waste2. Energy systems3. Transportation systems4. Smart and cognitive cities

If, after having attended this module, you decide to enroll in the IGLUS Executive Master, the module can be counted towards the Master degree, provided you write a small essay and are accepted by the EPFL admission office.

Who is there? EPFL, the World Bank, UN-Habitat, Veolia, IBM, Cemex along with practitioners and experts from Seoul, metropolitan area.

For whom is it?- Urban planners- City officials and public administrators- Managers of urban infrastructure systems- Managers of contracting firms- Consultants and other interested persons in the

management of large urban infrastructures

In order to enroll in the Seoul module or in the IGLUS Executive Master, students first have to send us their CV.

Costs• Tuition for the Executive Master: 20’000 CHF • The tuition for one module taken separately and

leading to a Certificate of Attendance jointly issued by EPFL and the partner University: 3000 USD

• Travel, accommodation and other logistics costs are at the expense of the participants.

• A limited amount of scholarships is available for both aster Program and modules

Admission requirements (for Executive Master):1. A master’s or a 4-years Bachelor degree2. Proficiency in English3. Relevant professional experience
