The Pentecost International Potluck Supper is

Saturday, May 14, at 5:00 p.m. in the Historic Church,

hosted by the RCIA community. Bring a double

be “Things We Need To Know To Ease Us Through Our Future Days.” Lunch

MAKER AND MASTER Saturday, May 7 IHM musicians Michael Mullink and Michael Vrazel present Maker and Master,

a concert benefitting Ezekiel House. They will perform here at IHM on Satur-

day, May 7, at 7:30 p.m.

A free-will offering will be taken at the door. CD’s will also be available at the

concert for $10.

One hundred percent of the offering and the sale of CDs goes directly to the

Ezekiel House Mission.

BLOOD DRIVE Wednesday, May 11

The next IHM blood drive will be on Wednesday, May 11 from 3:00-8:00 p.m.

Red Cross begins contacting donors 8 weeks after they donate to make another

appointment to give. So please, keep in mind, that donating at another site after

March 16 will disqualify you from participating in the upcoming drive.

is a native of southwest Louisiana. She holds

cational Leadership (Ed.S.) from Georgia

College and State University. She has taught

in both general and special education class-

rooms in primary, intermediate and middle

SKYLARK ENSEMBLE Friday, May 20

Join Skylark as they perform Rachmaninoff’s

a cappella choral masterpiece, the All-Night

Vigil (“Vespers”). Between the movements,

Skylark will offer several ancient Byzantine

noff’s transcendent 1915 setting.

Coming this fall to IHM! After broad consultation with teens, parents, staff and the parish Pastoral Council, we will inaugurate the Life Teen high school youth ministry and The EDGE mid-dle school youth ministry at IHM this fall! Life Teen and The EDGE will gather on Sunday evenings at 6:15, immediately following the 5:00 p.m. Mass. (Pizza will available for the hungry!) At the same hour, there will be a GIFT session for grades K-5, especially to accommodate families who have students in more than one age group. A Sunday morning GIFT session will also be available for grades K-5 only, 10:15-11:15 a.m. Enrollment for next year’s Faith Formation programs is now open and will remain open throughout the summer. The Liturgy of the Word for Children offers children, ages 4-7, the opportunity to hear God’s Word in an accessible and engaging format. They listen to the scriptures, say the Creed, and offer their prayers in language appropriate to their age-level. We offer the Children’s Liturgy at 9:00 and 11:30 Mass throughout the school year. Please note: - There will be no Children’s Liturgies on Sunday, May 1, due to First Holy Communions. - The final Children’s Liturgies before summer break will be on Sunday, May 22.

IHM School is celebrating Screen-Free Week May 2-8, 2016.

This is an annual celebration when students read, play,

think, create, get active, and spend more time with family

and friends instead of watching TV, surfing the web, or

playing with apps and video games. It’s about taking a

break from digital entertainment. You can participate, and

still use devices for work or school. If screens of any kind

interfere with family time, you may want to rethink how and when you’re using them.

SONFEST PARENT MEETING Wednesday, May 4

There will be a bilingual meeting for all participants and parents

on Wednesday, May 4th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Lower

Level of the Church. If you need to make a payment on this day,

please make a check out to: IHM Y outh Ministry, for: Sonfest

[teen name].

This meeting will cover details on transportation (arrival and

departure), what to pack, review of guidelines, assigning

roommates, and meeting the adult chaperones for this year!

It is important that at least one parent attends the meeting with

YOUTH SOCCER TOURNAMENT Saturday, May 7

This one day soccer tournament will be held at IHM, just

before the summer kicks in! We invite you all to join us for

some good soccer, food and company on Saturday, May 7 in

the backfield of the school from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. You may

bring your own chairs. We will be selling delicious tacos and

beverages, so come hungry and ready to cheer on the teens!

All proceeds will go towards this year’s Sonfest Beach

Conference in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. This event is

brought to you by the Teen Leaders if IHM. Thank you in

advance for all your support!

La Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones en IHM será patrocinada por el Club de Señoras de la parroquia. Muchas diócesis, aquí mismo, en los Estados Unidos no cuentan con suficientes

sacerdotes y ministros laicos capacitados para servir en sus parroquias. A estas

diócesis se les conoce como diócesis misioneras. El Llamado para las Diócesis

Misioneras se realizará este fin de semana durante la segunda colecta y da apoyo a

estas diócesis otorgando fondos para los ministerios básicos, incluyendo la educación

de seminaristas y capacitación para el ministerio laico. Por favor, sean generosos en

este llamado y comparta sus recursos para fortalecer la Iglesia en casa.

La segunda colecta del proximo fin de semana será dedicada a la Campaña para la
