MEET MARITA!
“My name is Marita Stoffel. I am a young adult woman who has felt a call from God to be baptized. I am now ready to begin a period of faith formation in preparation for the celebration of baptism, confirmation and eucharist. I am in need of a parish sponsor who will accompany me during these next months as a co-companion on my journey to become a member of the Catholic Church. I need someone to help guide me and be with me through prayer, presence, and participation.”
Please consider helping Marita as a parish RCIA sponsor. We meet for one hour a week on Sunday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Contact Eileen Smith at 949-234-1354 or [email protected] for further information.

Second Collection—March 14 and 15
Next week, we will take up a Collection for the Church in Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. For many in Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe, a rising secular culture, difficult rural terrain, and a shortage of ministers present obstacles to practicing the faith. Your support to the collection provides lay leadership training, catechesis, priestly and religious formation, and other programs to share our faith with those who long to hear the Good News of Christ.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Penance
The Lenten Season is a special me to experience the power of the Lord’s grace calling us to conversion of mind and heart. It is a special me to experience the sacramental grace of reconcilia on in the Sacrament of Penance. Below is a list of Lenten Services and

Office of Religious Education
Office Hours: Monday 10:30am to 7:30pm, Tuesday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, and Friday 8am to Noon 949-234-1370
In the Gospel for the Second Sunday of Lent, Matthew tells us Jesus went up a high mountain with three of his close friends. Luke tells us that Jesus went up the mountain to pray. The disciples witnessed Jesus’ face shine like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. God was certainly at work here. In fact, God’s voice refrains the words spoken at Jesus’ baptism: “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON.”
Our First Communion retreat will take place on March 28, 2019. This retreat is only for children who will receive their first communion this year and their parents. All of Religious Education will be participating in the Stations of the Cross scheduled for April 3, 2020
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!! Do you want to share, and continue to grow in your faith? Do you like working with children? Could
the Holy Spirit be calling you? If you answered yes to any of those questions, our 2019-2020 Religious Education program is in need of substitute catechists and classroom aids at all levels, as well as substitute guides for our Children’s Liturgy of the Word. Training and support are provided year-round! Please contact the Religious Education Office for more information.
