KROSS, Bangalore

Day 1

This is was second phase of the training program, Mr. C. P. Nicolas and Ms. Divya

has given introduction and reference of the training program, and also introduced

to the trainer Mr. Mehul, details are as follows:

1. Mr. Mehul has introduced to himself and other trainer to Mr. Melvin, and

given-up summary of the training program, and started Introductory session,

and Mr. Melvin has taken initiative to play a Game for introduction to our self,

first he has explained to the participant rules of the game, and started to play,

Participant has enjoyed with this technique of introduction, and opened to

each other.

6. After the presentation Mr. Mehul has discussed about plan of the day, and Mr.

Himanshu has suggested teaching the standard chapter of the module, but Mr.

Mehul has suggested you can learn yourself from your experience.

7. Mr. Mehul has made exercise for the proper budgeting of tea shop along with

participant, and participant has learned to make budget technique. the

participant was feeling with good with this exercise

8. Mr. Mehul has discussed about module, on three point,

A. how many participants have not understood the module?

B. How many Participants has understood module but feel difficult to

explain it.

C. How many Participants are not understanding the module?

Mostly participant discussed and said we have no problems to understand of

the module, but have less information of the training materials as well as and

less experience, and may will more confidence after this training program.

9. Mr. Mehul has explained about the BYB English site to take example to

understand the module and also given take to make presentation tomorrow

with support of this guideline, and he has given laptop to take support to read

it, and formed three group of 5 member of each group, and will make

presentation in the group.

The first day training program was very good to understand of the module, and

food, and logistic arrangement is very good, all participants are happy with logistic

arrangements.

Day-II

Today (16-02-2017) session started with energizer game by Mr. Mehul &Melwin

Then started classroom sessions Ms. Divya welcomed all the participants and reviewed yesterday’s learning’s.

Learned lot of things form the different sharing’s from all the trainers

Got clarity on Budget preparation through the Tea shop budget session

Motivation of the trainees towards EDP

How to motivate the trainees to become good entrepreneur

Sharing of challenges and learning are very useful for all the trainees to learn new things

Mr. Mehul added few things that how the group discussions given as home work, all the groups expressed that everybody involved in reviewing the toolkit and selected one module and discussed in detail.

Me. Melwin asked to present remaining 4 training reports by the trainers:

1. Mr. Harish presented the EDP Training report, He conducted one batch of EDP Training and trained 45 garment trainees as per the EDP Module. Conducted training as per the Module and every month, two times conducted training and given them inputs which are given in the toolkit in a simple way, 8 sessions are successfully completed. Through this EDP the trainees are learned good things through the subjects like: Marketing, Budget making, Profit making, Public relations, given good examples on rural marketing methods, how to become good entrepreneur, energizer games. Learnings: After conducting EDP Training the trainees went to Schools and contacted concerned persons and convinced them to stitch School dresses and earned Rs.45,000/-

2. Mr. Nikolas presented that, he conducted 5 days EDP training on weekly basis (2 days in a week) also involved previous Trainees also and covered 14 EDP sessions through displaying the success story videos. Challenges:

Time Management not done properly Clarifying the doubts of Trainees not done fully Trainees are not involved in writing charts More knowledge to be gained about EDP

3. Ms. Renuka presented that, she planned to conduct electrician trade it is not done after words she conducted EDP among the Beautician trainees and covered Budgeting (RUDSET Model), Project Report Presentation, Bank Linkages. 2 batches of EDP is still pending for electrician trades. Learnings: Involved DDUGKY persons for more clarity on EDP How sustain the trainees towards entrepreneur ship Challenges: Difficulties faced to mobilize employed persons to the EDP

4. Mr. Mahendar, Rajastan conducted trainees as per the schedule 5 days trainings are completed. Challenges 1. Difficulties faced to conduct training continuously 5 days 2. Not understood the online modules 3. Getting loans to the trainees through online system is very difficult 4. Supporting to online shopping 5. Regular attendance to EDP 6. 37 loans applied but only 11 succeeded

Learning’s:

1. 11 beneficiaries got bank loans and transferred to their bank accounts 2. Motivation of trainees through SHG Monthly meetings

Ms. Divya reviewed the trainees why all the Trainers are not submitted the EDP reports to FVTRS only few persons submitted reports and the remaining persons need to submit before the training and it is mentioned that if any person having doubts they need to ask us for clarification.

Most of the chapters are not completed in 60 minutes, need more time to complete,

Legal and statuary session is missing in the module Trade specific/area specific examples (lesson plans) Lesson plans will be according to the trainings what we conducted, if not

there is a need to prepare the session plan accordingly Skill net online marketing modules will also been included Field oriented examples can be developed by the trainees based on their

experiences for effective EDP trainings Ensure trainees to have work experience for more practical learnings

Language problem

For better understanding of the facilitators the toolkits will be in regional languages, it is advised to have similar language groups to translate the module in to their own language.

There is a need to understand the module completely, and then prepare the lesson plans according to the trainees level, the module is only the guideline – need to make use of it.

There is no need to give any reading material during the EDP training EDP is a continues process to motivate the trainees through out the course

up to the trainees will become good entrepreneur

Mr. Mehul suggested that prepare the quarterly plan day wise and divide the EDP chapters and include in between. It also suggested to discuss about their own enterprise where to start, name of the enterprise, mobilize fund, marketing etc., motivation to learn & earn is required and balance should be maintained. We always welcoming any kind of suggestions on the module through email are WhatsApp, the valid suggestions will be discussed during the future course of action. Motivation & Mobilization The trainer has to inform the trainees of Skill net group or SHG members before the EDP about the timings, place and not to conduct the trainings during the regular monthly meetings. The required lesson plans will be used from the module according to their trade, the new methods will also be introduced by the trainer based on the trainees levels.

Suggestions to become good businessman: The business will be improved through the better acquired skills, quality services, customer service, canvassing, networking through customer, attending home servicing, functions etc., will increasing the business day by day. Mr. Mehul explained about the differences between the employed and self-employed, those who are working daily wage, or timely working, contract workers will be the self-employed, only regularly working persons with a place, factory/ company will be the employees. The trainers must understand the target community and act accordingly to conduct the EDP. Group Presentations

Mr. Himanshu& Team explained about the how shape destiny with the day to day prices increasing or reducing, employment rate, budget reduces, jobs reduces and other effects on the business. Sister Bala explained about the job roles and types of job etc., and process of the selected jobs and explained about the job role of accountant. Finally, Mr. Mehul asked all the group members to give their opinion about their presentation, Ms. Divya given feedback that you need to give classroom season, Mr. Pandey started session with introduction about the concept of marketing strategies for eg; Colgate Paste tube mouth size, another example about the Amul milk theft by the company official and stopped the theft by providing half of cup milk to every employee during lunch break by the company officially. Major objective is to learn the marketing strategies Vidya & Renuka presented about the objectives of the presentation:

Mr. Ganapathi Naik presented that the types of loans and Interest rates For example: Home Loan, Education Loan, mortigage loans, capital loans etc., we need to go for the capital loan, Mr. Mehul suggested that we need to find out the loan sources with in the home and relatives, if it is not available then we will go for the loan from the financial institutions. Training was started with the Energizer of making payers conducted by Ms. Vidya. In this energizer participants must make groups as per the instructions. Ms. Rani Elisabeth won in the energizer Activity. After this Mr. Melvin organized the very enthusiastic energizer of House, Tenant and Earthquake. All the participants participated actively in the energizer and came to the class loaded with full of energy.

All the participants were advised to go to the market in evening and meet with some entrepreneurs running micro and small enterprises. In this regards participant those who met with the entrepreneurs give their presentation before others and shared their experiences. presentation was given by Mr. Ganpati. He shared that last evening he met with a businesswomen running micro enterprise of Bhajji Selling; running her business in 4 square fits place, investing 500 rupees per day and earning 1000 rupees in a day including profit of 500 rupees per day. Mr. Ganpati also told that the working hours of that woman is only 4. He asked her why she is selling Bhajji and not looking for another work. For his question

that women told that he is very happy with her work, she is her own boss and also able to give time to her family.

The 2nd presentation was given by Mr. Ajay Pandey Ji, he shared a very motivational story of a person started his business form 50 rupees on a mat and now earning minimum 80000 rupees in a month and also owner of a big shop.

The 3rd presentation was given by Ms. Vidya. Last Evening she visited the tea and Fruits shop and talked to the owner of both shops and gave detailed presentation with video. He described in the presentation how that women started tea making shop, her investment and profit etc. She presented that the tea shop owner woman investing 4 rupees for a cup and selling it in 6 rupees with profit of 2 rupees and she is earning 400 rupees in a day and providing very good quality of tea. Vidya also told about a fruit seller who is earning 1000 rupees profit in a day. She asked the fruit seller why he is not trying to do some other job. On this question he answered that he has interest in this work and don’t want to do job and happy with his work. Vidya asked for accounting to both entrepreneurs. On this the tea and Fruit seller told that they are writing the expenses and investment on the notebook.

Mr. Mehul (trainer) continued the session and told about his memory card business. He told participants not to care what people think only do the work whatever you wanted to do. The session was ended with this comment.

After the tea break Mr. Himanshu gave the presentation of his business of creative stationery store. He told how EDP training motivated him to start a small online store in systematic way and showed demo of his store.

This session was started after the presentation. Mr. Mehul asked participants to give feedback in which they must tell 1 good thing and 2 areas of improvement about training.

All the Participants shared their feedback about the training. 1st feedback was given by the Mr. Srinivasan, He shared that the training was very good, he feel the information shared in the training. He also mentioned that there was the requirement of 3 days schedule which was missing in the training. After that Mr. Harish shared his feedback and told that he liked the democratic approach of the training. He said these trainings change our style of thinking, now we can think like facilitators. We will also organize the classes depend upon learner’s choice in future. After Harish Vidya gave her feedback, she shared that she like the training

it helped in facilitation and she also raised the requirement about the schedule of training. After Vidya, Mr. Ajay shared that these three days boost his confidence level. He added that now he will create the systematic business plan for his spice business. He also included that the facilitation process was good. In the context of need of improvements he told about the need of exposure visit, Task oriented and practical based training. Next feedbacks were given by Mr. Ramesh and Mr. V. Nicholas. Both told that they thought EDP was a book and they have to give the training according to the book. They added that now they are very clear about the EDP and by repeating the example of Bhajji seller he told when Bhajji seller could earn 400 rupees in a month than my trainees can also earn. V Nicholas said that he is facing complex in speaking but he might come over from it. Next Feedback was given by Mr. Haider; he said this training would motivate his trainees to start enterprise and becoming businessmen. Next feedback was given by Himanshu he told that the training methodology was very unique trainer adopted the trainees centered approach which was very good. In the area of improvement he mentioned the need of more partial and analysis based training.

In the post lunch session trainees were instructed to make action plan for future six months. Nicholas Sir given instruction regarding the plan. He said that there is no specific format for action plan everyone has to create according to situation of his/her field and capacity. Charts Papers and Markers were distributed to the trainees. After an hour all participants prepared the 6 monthly action plans and pasted it on the wall for presentation. After that Nicholas sir asked all the participants to see the action plan of everyone and made discussion on the plans. He asked participants to share the observation of action plans pasted on the wall. All the participants told their observations that action plan of everyone is different some have prepared module wise, some have prepared lesson wise, some have prepared group wise etc. After that Mr. Nicholas Sir shared his observations that there should be some field activates should be added in the action plan and there should be some plan for follow up.

In a mean while respected E.D. of FVTRS Mr. P. M. Philip joined the program. All the participants welcomed him. Nicholas Sir briefly recapped the previous sessions and asked participants to share 2 learning. All participant shared their learning regarding way of training, methodology of training, facilitation process, New styles adopted during training and way of subject delivering etc.

After this session, Nicolas sir requested ED sir to say few words for EDP. E.D. sir told participants to look the situations and create opportunities accordingly. He

told to experiment with ideas, practicing skills of EDP, flexibility, adjustability, networking skills etc. He also added that for becoming good facilitator it is necessary to practice more. After ED sir speech Nicholas sir shared the points written on the board for follow up he told participants to prepare presentation in which learning, challenges, result,2 case studies of trainees and 1 case study of successful entrepreneur would be taken in the next phase of EDP going to organize in August 2017.

At last Mr. Srinivasanthanked FVTRS team, Trainers (Mr. Mehul and Mr. Melvin) for providing such opportunities to us. The training was full of enthusiasm, new techniques and innovative ideas. It was completed fruitfully.
