STUDENT RELATED FUNCTIONALITIES IN THE LMS

Students with this role in the LMS would primarily start e-Learning subjects assigned to them on the LMS. In addition to launching courses there are other functionalities available for student. All the steps are mentioned below with brief description:

Learning Planet LMS – Features available to Students

Logging into the LMS

Registered students would be able to log into the LMS to perform designated activities. This includes accessing training programs assigned to them and performing administrative activities. Students get authenticated based on the login id and password provided to them.

Login ID and Password would be

authenticated.

Forgot Login ID / Password

The LMS would allow students to reset their login id or password in case they have forgotten the same. The LMS would not send the original password to the student rather the password would be reset to a new value and the same sent to the student via an email to the students email address. This is a security feature build into the LMS preventing retrieval of student login credentials (sensitive information) by unauthorized students.

The LMS would validate information provided

by the student against its database and on

successful validation send out an email

containing the required information to the

student’s email ID.

E-Learning Catalogue

Student can click the E-Learning Catalogue

button to view the list of courses available

in the LMS.

Contact US

Student can click on contact us button to view the IIBF contact details for administrative and technical questions.

Student can directly contact through phone

or email in case of any administrative

questions or send a mail to technical team

in case of any technical difficulty for

accessing the LMS.

StudentHome Page

The Student’s home page would display a list of all training courses which have been assigned to them by the LMS administrator.

The Student can launch any of the assigned

courses by clicking the “My Role” icon

displayed against the assigned courses.

Student My Profile

Allows student to view and edit his/her

profile information on the LMS. Students

would be able to change their LMS password

using this option.

Student Subject Details Students can view the details of the subject assigned to them on the LMS.

Student Start e-Learning Students can start SCORM courses which have been assigned to them available in the LMS. These courses are tracked for completion as per

SCORM specifications and are reported

accordingly.

Student / User Computer Configuration

• Operating System – Windows XP SP2, Windows 7

• Processor – Intel Pentium P4 and above or an equivalent processor

• RAM – 1 GB or above

• Color Resolution – 32 bit and higher

• Screen Resolution –1024 X 768

• Browsers* – JavaScript enabled Internet Explorer 8.0 or 9.0
