About USBeeUSBee is a diagnostic device that is meant to aid in testing USB ports, cables, and devices. By connect-ing USBee between a USB port and a device’s USB cable, you can get valuable information about the voltage and current being applied to that device.

USB or Universal Serial Bus is a protocol for con-necting devices to a computer, and is also used as a means to charge devices. Voltages typically range between 4.7 v and 5.3 v. Amperage varies depend-ing on the device connected.

Attaching USBeeTo use USBee, connect it to an available Type A USB port either on a computer or charger.

The LCD display will display current voltage available from the port. Connecting a device to the Type A USB port on the device will allow USBee to display amperage and begin tracking mil-liamp hours for the connected device.

Using USBee

The USB DisplayThe USBee display consists of voltage, amps, milliamp hours, and the currently selected memory slot.

A - Voltage

B - Amperage

D - Memory slot location

Voltage WarningIf the voltage detected by USBee is greater than 5.3 volts or less than 4.7 volts, the screen will flash and an arrow icon will appear on the display indicating either a high or low value warning. Press the button to stop the flashing display. The arrow will continue to display. This warning can be disregarded if you know that the unusual voltage is correct for the device you are using.

Selecting Memory SlotsUSBee will save the amount of current that has passed through the device to the currently selected memory slot. The amount will be indicated in miliamp hours.

Double pressing the button will cause the display to flash. Pressing the button will now change between the 10 available slots (0-9). Double pressing the button again will
